Naruhodo[u] apparently had difficulties due to his name being one letter too long... In the English version, that last U doesn't exist, so that issue wouldn't exist. Must be why this case never came to America.

While its so sad that we didnt get this extra case in chronicles, i can totaly see why they didnt want to localize this one. It all revolves around Japanese culture that is not well known in the western world like the topknot and the last kanji of a name being slightly different... it still wouldve been really fun if we got this extra case, but it indeed wouldnt have worked as well as it does in japanese. For us a whole second part of a name being different wouldve just been too obvious

I know Kazuma's Objection and Pursuit themes are just his main themes, but I absolutely love that they used it, unlike most Objection/Pursuit themes that go for a "we must chase down the truth and reveal it" Kazuma's themes sound more akin to "I understand the truth now, and it's okay, so there's no reason to hide anymore." In short, they're fantastic and I love it

It’s interesting to see Ryunosuke use his “mechanic” but as a witness instead. Since from Kazuma’s POV you don’t get the option to pursue witnesses. 49:35-50:10 First pursue of Ryunosuke. 1:02:32-1:02:56 Second pursue of Ryunosuke.

14:24 - 14:35 I really like how both Naruhodo and Asougi just hit the bench and silently pressure the witnesses to state the truth. they both had the same idea.

Crogray definitely is one of the most bold culprit of the serie. Not only that he murdered in cold blood Megundal after the case 2’s trial but he also committed a second murder (by accident) and to protect his guilt, he don’t hesitate to make a deal with Gregson during the trial of the pawnshop’s murder. It’s really one of the most farfetched trial with the corruption of the Great Britain’s justice system where Scotland Yard don’t hesitate to commit illegal deals to accomplish their mission. Gregson, in the way, knew that Gina didn’t kill Hutch as he helped Crogray to cover his crime of murder and treason in exchange of the disc. DGS serie is one of the most realistic example of the justice corruption and like a genius said "the end justifies the means".

I find this case pretty...sad. A murder attempt that was in fact an accidental chains of coincidences that almost cost the live of Viridian (or Olive in Chronicles), all made by Joan and in a way John during their argument. And the culprit, who i think don’t know that she was the perpetrator or maybe i didn’t understand completely the case, was a member of the jury and finally be the suspect after the story of Pat’s crime was revealed. And Pat, even if what he did rest a crime, was kinda...understandable. Being a police officer in this time was really tiring and witnessing by lack of luck an incident during their first wedding anniversary is really cursed so his tampering of the crime scene has some basis in this actual situation. But what is not forgivable is that his narrative made Soseki the suspect of the crime and made the case more complicated to solve and being framed for a "murder" attempt in an age where the racism is more consequent than in our time (i think ?) can ruin someone’s life because his image will be tainted as a criminal even if he was acquitted of it. I just hope Joan wasn’t condemned to the death penalty as it rest an accident, she hadn’t any motive for stabbing her and she couldn’t even see her at the time of the crime. And even if Pat rest a police officer (if we believe what Barok said), his crime demonstrate one of the many problems of the Britain Kingdom at this age: the police who arrest innocents without even questionning a possible motive to commit a crime, just on the base that he was on the scene at the time and the incident (for example, they didn’t even suspected Pat or Rola, maybe because Pat was a police officer and so, he is trustworthy which is a good example of racism just because Soseki is japanese), the fact that he rest a police officer even after that trial, the jury who can’t be completely trusted as their biased view on Japanese are "he’s different of us so he’s obviously someone capable of murder".
