Well Here I am, Apologies it's taken me a while to watch & comment, just been really busy with the end of the school year and holidays starting, but I’m here now, better late than never I suppose. Very good video, Definitely 2 of my favorite trucks that veolia has there, 168 was good to watch, the small bins slipping around in the grabs. The arm looks a little slower than 169, and it looks a bit longer also, or maybe that's just me haha. 097 or Big Bertha was good to see in action again, the clip at 12:00 was a highlight, showing the full truck in the frame which was nice to see. This is their only 25m, correct? Cause the Facelift acco is a 29m I believe. Quite interesting that they had so many trucks in the same area, normally here we'd have one truck in each area still out after 3pm 🤣 Keep up the good work mate. PS. Uploading the 22m LEV later today, which you might be interested in. Cheers.

Shit mate I don't know how I didn't comment on this! This is a bloody awesome video mate, I love the longer ones - much better audio than my one of 61 too haha! Love the photos and shots at the end, she's started to lose a fair bit of paint in not much time at all. Sorry for the late comment - cheers mate!

@@TassieGarbo all good mate, was a long one so didn't expect anyone to watch the whole thing 😂 Thanks mate, she's definitely starting to look pretty worn in now, the grabbers are pretty loose and the light on the arm has been hit out of place. Cheers!

Awesome video mate! Great to see the footage you got of 168. Big Bertha's still looking nice and loose aye. Had 168 in Glenorchy on garbage earlier this week, we've also had the bloke who used to drive Duck Princess driving 109 here on assorted collections. Great filming too mate! Cheers.

@@TassieGarbo cheers mate! I actually haven't seen it since which is a shame, sounds like it tends to stay on the other side of Hobart. 97 is still going well and doing it's thing. That's interesting because I saw one of the new female drivers in Duck Princess recently, and been having the garbage truck return for FOGO rather than the usual crew. Will be interesting to see what the case is on Monday. Thanks mate! Got a couple of clips from last week, 66 on garbage, then came back for a massive chop out on recycling with 3 trucks. kzbin.infoX10KMSxKFy8?si=Vn-w8VouvNynrfVc kzbin.infooYtNhrxIVpQ?si=3vbrYHcP7zF43pQt Both trucks in the videos were driven by the female drivers. @@wasteintasmania Ah yeah, nice mate! Thanks for sharing these clips mate they are great! 66 looking a bit sad. I have a couple of 93 I'll put on the other channel. Have you seen 64 at all? I haven't seen it since I filmed it. Cheers mate!

@TassieGarbo cheers mate, actually seems to operate pretty well but seems tired. Nice mate, would love to see them! I haven't, I was wondering if you had. Next time I get the opportunity I'll be sure to ask a driver if they know whats up with it. Talking of that, have you seen 61 and 67, cause I haven't ever since I heard they were on the way out so I'll have to ask if they are still around as well. Cheers mate!

@@wasteintasmania We had 61 about a month ago on recycling, and then the next day 70. 92 was off then I think - that was the last I saw of it! Cheers.

@TassieGarbo Ah okay, it had a phase at one point of going out almost everyday but must be back to the last resort truck. Dunno what's up w 67, maybe the arm spit the sads again 🤷 Sarah was 70 last week instead of 71 as well. Cheers

Why did 3 trucks chop garbage in the morning and leave recycle to 1 truck in the arvo?
@wasteintasmania17 күн бұрын
@@petermclean5975 seems to just depend on the day and how far behind they are. Last week they had one on garbage and three of recycle.

Is Wombats still doing green waste in Sorrel. Or is it contracted out to another company these days?
@wasteintasmaniaАй бұрын
@@GP500 wombats will continue to collect the kerbside green waste whilst Veolia collect the new green waste bins. Next year the kerbside service will be phased out and the green waste bins will be the only green waste collection, likely when they will go FOGO

Nice one mate! Nifty little truck this one, good to see veolia getting some 'new' trucks haha. First Isuzus they’ve gotten in a long time! I guess it makes sense to keep older units running if there in good condition, especially with what you stated with long wait times for new trucks, They’ve jumped up a bit in their numbering, from 71122, must have some other new units somewhere. I noticed this one is a 165/350, and 71168 is a 165/300, the arm on this truck looks a bit off, is it slightly longer than normal? has it possibly come of a 22m? I do prefer these older SPORT xx bodies over the newer SPORT SLxx bodies, come to think of it, did they ever produce the XTreme body for a single axle configuration? I can only recall seeing them on standard dual axle setups. Goes pretty good on recycle, with the smaller bins, I find it funny that pretty much every bin has glass in it lol. Very enjoyable watch, can’t wait for the video of 71168 on garbage. I'm hanging around to see one of these Isuzus on greenwaste. Cheers mate
@wasteintasmaniaАй бұрын
Cheers mate! Sure is, 71, 168 and 169 are the first "new" side loaders the southern depot's seen since 71114 and 71117 in 2020. These Isuzus are some of the best conditioned trucks we have and some of the lowest Kms. We've received quite a few new rearloaders recently, there's a Eurocargo around which is 71127 and a Hino which is 71134, no clue what the others are though. I see what you mean about the arm looking off, it looks even more off on 168, although the arms look the same so I assume it's just due to chassis model differences. They seem longer than the standard 18m arm, I believe Darebin's old Ivecos run 29m arms, they look too small to be 25m arms so I'd say you might be right. These Gen6 18s seem to be more of an update with new features rather than a body redesign like the Sport SL series. I believe there wasn't an Xtreme offered on a 4x2, there used to be a longer version of the single axle body when they were under MacDonald Johnston, I believe a 20m body, that still fit on the 4x2 (71063 was one). But I believe this was an option once Bucher acquired MJ. For a few years that wasn't an option, it seems the Xtreme was a successor to that, followed by the now SL200 introduced with the body redesigns. The SL240 is an updated shorter wheelbase version of the 25m, but I haven't been able to work out if they still sell a Gen6 25m, I haven't seen one and it seems like a dumb idea so I'd say the answers no. It's amazing how area dependent that is, there are areas in Kingston with much less glass per bin on average. Thanks mate, will get that out soon. I am to, pretty rare for the 18m to be on FOGO but if I ever see it I'll be sure to get some footage!
