Nice one mate! I like how even though the top taillights are in a different spot, the mounting holes are still in the normal place haha. The FX Isuzu does seem to have a lot more go than the other one aye. I find it odd that these newer style of trucks/engines almost always seem to struggle a lot more than the E5 and older Accos, even though the singles are only 260 or 280hp on them. Might be the extra emissions gear or somthing having an effect. Great filming as always too mate - cheers!

@@TassieGarbo cheers mate! Haha I noticed that, I wonder why they put them there. Yeah it is interesting, I wonder how much adding all the emissions control and being as fuel efficient as possible strips back the raw torque output. Its amazing how much the Volvo Buchers struggle compared to the Euro 5 Cummins Ivecos, the 280s can barely climb hills when full. Thanks mate!

Nice one mate! Nifty little truck this one, good to see veolia getting some 'new' trucks haha. First Isuzus they’ve gotten in a long time! I guess it makes sense to keep older units running if there in good condition, especially with what you stated with long wait times for new trucks, They’ve jumped up a bit in their numbering, from 71122, must have some other new units somewhere. I noticed this one is a 165/350, and 71168 is a 165/300, the arm on this truck looks a bit off, is it slightly longer than normal? has it possibly come of a 22m? I do prefer these older SPORT xx bodies over the newer SPORT SLxx bodies, come to think of it, did they ever produce the XTreme body for a single axle configuration? I can only recall seeing them on standard dual axle setups. Goes pretty good on recycle, with the smaller bins, I find it funny that pretty much every bin has glass in it lol. Very enjoyable watch, can’t wait for the video of 71168 on garbage. I'm hanging around to see one of these Isuzus on greenwaste. Cheers mate

Cheers mate! Sure is, 71, 168 and 169 are the first "new" side loaders the southern depot's seen since 71114 and 71117 in 2020. These Isuzus are some of the best conditioned trucks we have and some of the lowest Kms. We've received quite a few new rearloaders recently, there's a Eurocargo around which is 71127 and a Hino which is 71134, no clue what the others are though. I see what you mean about the arm looking off, it looks even more off on 168, although the arms look the same so I assume it's just due to chassis model differences. They seem longer than the standard 18m arm, I believe Darebin's old Ivecos run 29m arms, they look too small to be 25m arms so I'd say you might be right. These Gen6 18s seem to be more of an update with new features rather than a body redesign like the Sport SL series. I believe there wasn't an Xtreme offered on a 4x2, there used to be a longer version of the single axle body when they were under MacDonald Johnston, I believe a 20m body, that still fit on the 4x2 (71063 was one). But I believe this was an option once Bucher acquired MJ. For a few years that wasn't an option, it seems the Xtreme was a successor to that, followed by the now SL200 introduced with the body redesigns. The SL240 is an updated shorter wheelbase version of the 25m, but I haven't been able to work out if they still sell a Gen6 25m, I haven't seen one and it seems like a dumb idea so I'd say the answers no. It's amazing how area dependent that is, there are areas in Kingston with much less glass per bin on average. Thanks mate, will get that out soon. I am to, pretty rare for the 18m to be on FOGO but if I ever see it I'll be sure to get some footage!
