Hudson was also a whaling town. If you go to the overlook near the train station, there are some plaques that describe whaling's impact on the economy. There used to be a old hardware store on the main drag there that had old whaling tools on the wall. For your next trip, check out Great Barrington. Not as much to see in town, but lots of little places nearby. Sheffield Pottery is an interesting stop there.

First it’s Kai-a-hoga Second it’s a 20 minute drive from downtown Cleveland so not in the middle of nowhere. It’s also the 12th most traveled national park in the country so it’s not one of the “lesser visited” national parks.

Took the ferry across Lake Champlain from Burlington to north of Albany a few years back. Top 10 travel things of all time. I think they stopped that ferry (60 minute trip) but there are 2 others (a 30 and a 15 minute trip) you should look into. Leaves changing, slight morning fog could be very picturesque. 😊

That is definitely the least amount of people I have ever seen at a National Park. The waterfall looked nice and agree that the bridge was nothing special. Thanks for sharing. I love watching videos on places that are less visited.
