Gee, you guys complement each other really well. Never seen paper (or whatever) it’s called under the cooking appliance. I’m guessing that cook top is an induction type. I’m new here, first video I’ve seen of yours and I immediately subscribed with bell clicked to all. As a carnivore of about 1.5 years I need to pick up my cooking game. I’m hoping this recipe will help encourage my SAD eating family. Gee it’s hard been a Lone Ranger. Especially seeing the metabolic Disfunction getting worse, and on meds. So glad to not take any meds and hardly ever need to go to the Dr. I’m NEVER going back to how I was. It’s so empowering to be healthy after about 54 years of abuse (I’m 54;) When I started, I did my homework first, then decided to do: 3 months of strict Lion diet and not allow myself to change my mind until the end of the 3rd Month. The only additional thing I allowed was electrolytes which is absolutely essential, especially in the beginning. After the 3 month mark, at that point I did a combo Carnivore/Lion as I was so impressed with the results. Now I’m 88 kg, steady at that, but I was 156kg. The best part is not being hooked/a slave to those drugs. Click on my photo for before and after comparison. I actually think what I did was extreme, hence I wish I had converted over more slowly…I was thinking change one meal over in the first month (say breakfast as cereal is devils “food”), then 2nd month Lunch, finally on the 3rd month Dinner. Likely by the third month you won’t want dinner! I never eat 3 meals a day and alternate naturally between one and two. It’s so easy and I’m never hungry. My bloods are amazing and couldn’t care less about my LDL, as my research shows that once you remove the cause (inflammation), LDL is normal, in fact essential. I watch many YT Drs in this space. Looking forward to seeing what other goodies you guys come up with in your other videos. So many amazingly simple tips here-just need some of the cooking gear you have-love the Oggi. ❤ from 🇦🇺

First off congratulations! Your results are amazing. Scott had similar results first 2 months. We have researched and continue to research and learn. We made this channel after learning just how bad not only the standard American diet was, but even most low fat diets as well. Carnivore is strict and takes a lot of willpower. You did great! We figured out pretty quickly that moving in that direction more slowly was easier on the body and having a little more variety of foods was helpful making the change. We started researching recipes and testing to come up with the best tasting recipes we could find. Some of our recipes are carnivore and some are animal based. The animal based recipes will have more carbs, especially the ones that use maple syrup or honey, but you can always switch those out for Stevia or other natural no sugar sweeteners. Current research is suggesting that your body does need a few carbs per day basically less than 60 per day and 30 per meal to maintain insulin storage. This still keeps your body in a ketogenic state and you still get all of the benefits of carnivore to your health. So glad you found us and your story is inspiring! Thank you!

Don't know how long the sale will last but my subzero is almost full anyway. Oddly enough, the only other nearby Shoprite selling flap meat is charging $11.99/lb

I only use uncurred bacon-because nitrate preservatives causes cancer
@AnimalBasedInYourFace2 күн бұрын
I’m going to reply with a generic message here because I get one of these three questions all the time about bacon. We have all been lied to for years by the giant food companies that push breakfast cereal off as food. It’s not, it’s crap. They set out to promote their product by spreading lies and marketing lies that bacon was bad for you. First saturated fat (animal fat) doesn’t clog arteries and doesn’t cause cardiovascular disease. Inflammation causes these problems. Do research on what foods cause inflammation and you will know it’s not bacon. Nitrates and Sugar in bacon. In simple terms processed bacon has nitrates and sugar added to cure the bacon and make it safe to eat longer. There is no sugar on the nutritional label because the sugar is eaten up by the good bacteria that also produce nitrates. So you are not consuming the sugar, little to none is left after you cook it. The nitrates make an environment that the bad bacteria, that will kill you unable to reproduce. Your own body makes nitrates and the amount in bacon isn’t harmful and does not cause cancer. Again inflammation of the mitochondria in your own cells turns your cells into cancer. Damage for carcinogens and extreme exposure to radiation (sunlight) is what causes your own cells to mutate into cancer cells. By the way Broccoli has over 150+ carcinogens. Thank you and understand this isn’t me being negative or trying to put your comment down. Just informing you of the truth and hope you inform others to out a stop to the rumors and lies. I once believed the lies as well. Then I educated myself in the truth.

@@AnimalBasedInYourFace I love crispy bacon. They were calling it “brown” after 30 seconds of cooking. As far from brown as it could possibly be
@AnimalBasedInYourFace2 күн бұрын
Ah, let me explain. When starting with a bare pot (no grease added to begin with) the way you control the temp and not burn the bacon is by watching the bottom bacon pieces. When they start to brown on bottom flip the bacon. Some thin pots will burn more than brown the bacon quickly and you have to turn down the heat. It takes a couple of tries to get the pot your using down in temp and length of time. Once you get use to that pot you can pretty much walk away for a few minutes and come back and flip the bacon around, then walk away for a while longer. Practice and you will learn the pot you’re cooking with and its cooking method.

The trouble is all supermarket bacon is full of nitrites, that absorb water, so you get less actual bacon. Not only that, the nitrites come out when you cook it, turning into white slime. When cooked, the bacon shrinks right down. I've found that you can draw out the nitrites by steeping it in boiling water for a few minutes, then rinsing it and drying it off - but that's a royal PIA. Maybe you can show a link for proper, nitrite-free bacon, not the supermarket garbage. Looked like there was white slime on the bacon you cooked on that fancy induction hob.

Tri-tip is another cheaper cut than ribeye that can be cooked low and slow in SV or a smoker and comes out tender and juicy. I have tried it with my pellet smoker and found that it's not really worth the trouble of reverse searing, most of the flavor comes from the smoke and rub (just Kosher salt and coarse ground pepper is fine.)

@AnimalBasedInYourFace4 күн бұрын
Yes, we love our ninja set. Now we bought the professional set off of Amazon in 2018. It is about $100 higher than the set that they sell at Sam’s Club, but much heavier quality. We use the cookware at least five times a week and it shows no sign of wear. Nothing sticks and they’re very heavy and good quality. They’re made with a stainless steel plate on the bottom the pan is aluminum that’s coated with ceramic and contains no Teflon or BPA. The handles are stainless steel. We are very happy with them.

@AnimalBasedInYourFace how do you clean them? Can a normal sponge be used that has the scrubby side to it. I don't want to have to baby my pans to clean them especially when eggs stick you need a scrubby sponge to clean! I feel like this is what is ruining my non sticks pans but eggs always stick and then eventually everything else
@AnimalBasedInYourFace4 күн бұрын
We use the blue scrubber sponges. But honestly we cook scrambled eggs with cheese and there is always some left in the crevices of the pan. After it cooks you can literally take a paper towel and wipe the pan clean without water or soap. It doesn’t stick.

Sodium nitrates are not an issue. That is a lie we all were told to cover up the big sugar companies like Kellogg’s, to push their highly processed crap they call cereal.
