This is the complete opposite of the YT tutorial of a guy filming his steering wheel and just saying: "Oh yeah, I just installed a bleatooth thing, yeah, so I turned two screws and put it in the radio, so yeah guys that's it, like and subscribe if it helped you" And it's like a minute and 30 seconds long

Hi mate, does it work on my volvo, because my car doesn’t have the aux mode. Im worried if i plug the bluetooth module i will not be able to turn it on bc of the aux. And i dont really think the aux is at some other place than the hand stand…

Installing backwards may be easier. As far as the screen. Install the cables and feed through the plate. Then remove the cover and speaker. Feed them down. And then pull radio off ☺️

@c2fixit I just checked it and there is no aux unfortunately, and to put a head unit instead there is the old sat nav on the way which will make the job complicated there 😔

@nerazourilasquadra4216 for the head unit, the screen install doesn’t make the job any more difficult, it’s the same Only issue is that the original radio will no longer work, but you can use the radio on the screen with a radio antenna

I have a 2007 XC 90 and just did a back up camera install. The last step was waiting for the fuse tap from Amazon. I tried the fuse tap solution just like you showed in your video. If i installed both fuses into the tap, the reverse camera was on all the time. If I installed the outer fuse and not the inner fuse, I had no back up lights and no camera. The back up lights worked with both fuses in place, or with just the inner fuse. I tried all of the combinations (flipped the tap upside down) and couldn't get it to work. Was there a specific tap that you used? Any advice would be appreciated.

Didn't work in either 1 or 26 on my 2012 XC90, not sure if things changed but both are permenantly live so the feed is permanently on. I guess I will need top into the wires that go to the light bulb and add a relay to switch it on and off.

Hello! Great video and very helpful for getting my screen installed! It isn’t using the subwoofer at all when playing through Bluetooth, and it sounds very poor compared to the normal car usb connection. I’ve spotted a plug marked ‘sub woofer’ from the screen but have no connections for this. Did you have the same problem or can you offer any advice please? Thanks!

I seem to have an issue with the unit flattening the car battery. I have set the unit to ‘no sleep’ . Does anyone have any other ideas why to try as unusable at the moment.

Hi Nice video. I'm thinking about using one of those android units with my 2008 D5 with built in Navigation and AUX input plus CD changer ( input connector in the middle console) So every sound from the android unit will bypass the amplifier? Also from the original radio after mounting this android unit like CD changer , radio, external cable aux input ? i understand that for parking sensors but for mobile connected via Bluetooth or music via android this does not sound very positive. Is there a way to still have all sounds via amplifier? Will there also be a supported unit witjh newer android o it? Version 10 is quite old. i appreciate any inputs also to my maybe misunderstandings.

If your Volvo has an aux input, then the original radio, cd player, parking sensors and external cable aux input will continue to work. I’m gonna install the same thing on my 2007 XC90 and have a few questions: 1) does the radio on this android head work or you need additional wires ro make it work? 2) does the rear camera gets power from the head you you need to plug it separately?

I had the exact same thoughts before I got it, but it actually isn’t too far forwards You also have the use of the steering wheel buttons, which means you don’t need to touch the screen so much

@eatthisvr6 my car has aux, so the original radio works perfectly fine If you don’t have aux in your car, then you bypass the original amp, so you lose the original radio But you can use the radio in the head unit
