I can't decide to buy Silent Hill 2, Alan Wake 2, Dead Rising Remastered, Until Dawn, Warhammer 40k sm 2 or DragonBall Sparking Zero? Can only get one at full price. Everything else is holiday sales. Any thoughts anyone???

Do you buy physical digital or both? Out of all those I’d go with Alan wake 2 digitally as I think it’s actually cheaper not 100% or space marine 2 if you don’t have the first. Then if you want to play until dawn I’d just get the ps4 version sure you’d find it cheap. The rest are all remasters or remakes and dragon ball is like £70! Hope that helps

I was the same waiting for the pro before buying the PS5 and the announcement put me right off, and its probably the first time i have lost enthusiasm for gaming in general because of it. I bought the PS4 pro on launch and loved it but ill be waiting probably a few years before i even pick up a PS5 now.

Good finds on the GC titles. I got most of the Zelda's too! Windwaker and Breath of the Wild are the most fun I had :). You should start with these 2 for sure.

If it goes the way of psvr2 then something might happen? I was hoping for a redesign for this but they stuck with the slim and imo it’s uglier than the launch system

To be honest, i'm not even thinking about the inevitability of a PS6 and beyond, ...plus the no disc drive is automatically a turn-off with digital games 👎👎(with exception of good indies).

The way it’s all going I’m done after this I’m curious as to what Nintendo release as it’s heavily thought to be backwards compatible but that would be my last. These days good indies are getting physical releases luckily for me. Might be hinting at an upcoming video there 👀

Good to see you back 😀 It's like 2006/07 again 😂 At least back the the additional vlubray player justified the £425 launch price. I've not gone next gen yet. Didn't think I ever would tbh. I hadn't seen any games that interested me. But now there's 4 games coming out (Perfect Dark,Indiana Jones, Mafia Old Country & GTA6. PD is Xbox exclusive unfortunately. So I'd probably take the power hit and get the Xbox to play those games. 700 + 100 for a disc drive is taking the poss though. Never thought I'd see a day when we have to buy a separate disc drive 😂 They should have added a usb cable to the disc drive to really add insult to injury 😂 All that said though. I. Happy playing my PS1. And I'm more excited for the upcoming Atari 7800 Plus.

I’m happy to go back and play older stuff too, always said this will likely be my last generation and this is another nail in that coffin. I wouldn’t be surprised if PD came out on the 5 at some point, all depends on the “sales” 👀 do Xbox have sales anymore with most stuff being on game pass 🤷♂️. Is that new Atari got the cartridge slot so you can play all Atari games?

And they are also releasing new homebrew games as well as re-releasing old Atari games with new physical releases. I have the 2600+ and it's fantastic.

I made 3 orders during their “blow out sale” about a month or 2 ago and finally got the last package today. So I’ll be doing a full video on all 3 soon. Having said that I ordered a game over a year ago and that still hasn’t come so yea long time for some things!

Now I'm an old man I listen to all sorts lol. I'll have listen to Times though. I've struggled to find any good metal bands for years. Only one I've found that I love are Babymetal 🤘

I'm right there with you. Imagine Spielberg films without a John Williams score. You have some solid soundtracks in your collection. You even have the OBI cards. Impressive. Shame that Bungie sacked Martin O'Donnell. His talents are missed. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus have awesome soundtracks. I have the Ico soundtrack. Love that game and its music. Way back in the day i spotted that Castlevania Symphony of the Night on PS1 had a soundtrack disc included. So i took the plunge and forked out the wallet busting £15! I've never played the game, but love that soundtrack. Best (and most profitable) £15 i've ever spent. Its the soundtracks that can stand alone from the game that impress. Shenmue. Anything by Hideki Naganuma (Jet Set Radio, Bom Rush Cyberfunk, and the Air Gear TV show). Everybody's Gone To The Rapture (never ever thought i'd be this impressed by a choral soundtrack). Skyrim. Sonic CD (UK/JAP version). And so many more. Others you like because they evoke a time and place in your life or in a game. The Ashtray Maze section of Control. Early Tomb Raider. As you mentioned, Doom. Wipeout. I'm partial to Studio Ghibli soundtracks. Got most of them about 8 years ago. Akira and Ghost In The Shell soundtracks are an acquired taste, but i love em. I really like the US soundtrack to Cyber City Oedo808. Bought the bluray from CEX in York last year. It had the soundtrack disc included. Win! Best "out in the real world" soundtrack experience i've ever had (besides the Tomb Raider concert) was last year. I'd been saving since lockdown and treated myself to a short trip to Japan. Walking down a quiet side street in Tokyo i heard the Godzilla theme in the distance. I nearly looked up to see if the monster himself was invading. I never did find out where the music came from, but it was just before Gozilla Year 1 released so i imagine it was a promo truck driving around the streets. What better place to hear that piece of music. Great idea for a video series.

That halo trilogy!!! Amazing grab with castlevania, think it’s £400+ now at cex? I’ve not watched any ghibli films yet 🙈 I’d love a set one day, as long as I can get them to match. Maybe the steelbooks!? Japan is on my bucket list of places I need to go to before I die. I’d of got goosebumps if that had happened to me. If the ost makes me feel something or gives me goosebumps it’s a must buy. I almost went to the Williams/zimmer concert a year or so ago but didn’t want to go on my own 😅.

The resi 4 edition is a lovely version of the console. Like yourself i am a big fan of both the old resi games and also the remakes. Never get bored of playing them. Also like yourself i buy games for systems i don't own yet but intend to own 😂. I find code veronica harder than 0. I've played it on both the dreamcast and the xbox 360 and got stuck on the boss section on the plane with no ammo and got no further in the game. Ive seen people do it with knife only but i find it balls hard.

@@An_idiot_onthe_net I have three saturn games sat on the shelf and have never owned a sega saturn... plan has been to buy one for the last two or three years but other things have got in the way. Hopefully sometime this year. Previously i bought atari 2600 games and they sat gathering dust until a few months ago when i got the 2600+ console. So i've got previous when it comes to buying games for systems i don't yet own! Yes lots of resi rumours, i'm looking forward to resi 9 and i'm wondering what they will do with 10... i think eventually they will have to remake 1 again with the REngine, possibly expand the mansion. I'd be well excited for that

The N64 is a nostalgic system for me and the last of the retro systems that i need to do a collection video for, whereas it's the first you've done as you said. You made an interesting point about buying a variety of games for a system and not just buying your favs or ones you played back in the day. It's an interesting one because i myself swing from wanting to cover all genres within a system to changing my mind and sticking with what i consider the essentials, even if it means for example that i don't have any shmups on the megadrive. Anyway mate just found your channel this evening and enjoying the vids, hope you are enjoying putting out the content 👍

All I can say is just wow! That’s a beauty of a console fantastic condition and what makes it special is that it’s actually yours from back in the day. Love my resi games on the cube resi 4 is my favourite game in the series played the remake to death!! Just hope they do a code Veronica remake. I have to agree resi 3 was not a good remake. But I’m now on the hunt for a resident evil game cube🤣 as well as the metal gear expensive times ahead ££. Great channel subbed . All the best jay

Congrats mate. Really nice to get your original console back. I had a platinum GC back when it was a currwnt system. It's a shame the consoles are quite pricey right now. Luckily my Wii plays GC games. And can't lie there's a few GC games if like to pick up. Glad I'm not alone buying games before I have the console 😂
