I have been growing a tissue cultured Yangambi Km-5 for approx 10 years in far north Queensland and it too has been slow growing. Mine has been so tiny, weak and slow growing compared to my other varieties which towered above it I thought it may have been diseased. A year ago I planted a Yangambi km-5 sucker in a new location. A year later, it's still tiny and slow growing compared to the others around, but it's has finally produced a tiny bunch of tiny fruit. Now I've seen and heard your experiences I'll persevere. That is extremely dangerous, you need to install the roller guard, please do not ignore this safety measure also have easy access to a cut off switch . If you fail to do so, if careless your hand can be sucked in and roll out the other end into a 1/4 thin meat and bone plate long . If at that point you cant turn the damn thing off then your hole hand will be ripped from your torso and you wont want that. This is serious .
