Hi Adam. Good video mate. It's pretty step start there. That was nice to watch. I like how you always have good go with the names. I've lived here all my life and struggle, my cousin is Welsh speaking so I can check with him sometimes. One thing I remember is F is V in Welsh, I don't remember much more😁 You had it nice and quiet. Germany and Holland walkers👍👌 You filmed it well something I've been trying hard to do also is slow my camera movements down. Sometimes I just play a shot at 2x slower, that’s saved me on a few clips. It obviously doesn’t work if talking. You shared a beautiful mountain well👍

Hi Jamie thanks for the comment! I remember your visit here going to the memorial and the fall into the waterfall lol 😂😂. I agree with you the Eastern side is much quieter and more to offer I think. Welsh or other Celtic languages are really unnatural for an English speaker but all I can do is try, that’s great having a Welsh speaking cousin to run things by. When you hear a Welsh speaker it’s shocking to see how wrong I’ve been getting the names , but better than 10 years ago.! Having a few problems with quality of images , I’ll try tinker with settings once more then might just buy a new camera. I do find after 24 hours post upload on KZbin the quality improves a bit and is less grainy? Thanks as always , hope you’re having a good week

Nice one Adam... glad you found it. Strangely Mynydd y Glog has appeared on my radar a few times this year. A mate of mine is doing trigs and asked me about this. I have only done it once and that was over 25 years ago... I walked up from Lwyn Onn reservoir through the forest and then headed towards the trig from that direction. From memory it was not easy back then... At that time the buliding on the heads of the valley you coud see was owned by John Baverstock and it was a very popular nightclub. More recently Ryan Owen (Wild About Wales ) has wild camped up there. Btw... not sure what is happening with you tube but I saw and heard your shout out on the limestome walk (big thanks) I made comment and it more or less disappeared straght away? Nice one... in all my years its a hill I have nver been up for some strange reason - I rteally need to tick it off some time. Very decent views... looking north/east at 4:34 I think the little pointy hill you see in the foreground is the ancient hill fort of Twyn y Gaer... a nice little bimble from a track and then a walk as far as far you want to go - the other end is Rhos Dhirion I believe. It does go as far as Rhos Dirion but that would be a monster walk across the whole ridge 😅, would be good though maybe with a camp halfway through? Hi Jamie, yeah it’s a nice short walk but can be easily extended onto nearby hills. The Gilfach Wen is the sister summit which the trig point is situated. It’s about 20 mins from the main summit cairn and can be easily seen from the main summit in good weather. The best walk would be to go down the circular ridge and return along side the reservoir but we didn’t have enough time. Best wishes

@@adamradford2285 That's great. Thanks for the info.👍 I just pick up a Dji gimbal for £35 on vinted and Dji mic £100. The mic was used 2 by a hiker I follow. He lost it got a new one, but someone found it and gave it back. I think he paid £220 for it. Looking forward to taking my new toys out soon.😁

Thanks mate yeah you’ll love this one! There is such an ever growing list isn’t there .. mine is endless lol. The Welsh names are very hard to pronounce, I’m better than I used to be when I came over from England but there’s a lot of room for improvement! 😂 Best wishes

Hi , yes there are three videos on the channel of Coity Mountain. One is Mynydd Varteg Fawr exploring the eastern end and then central / highest point - video called Twyn Ffynhonnau Goerion and then explore Mulfran on the western side on the video called Heads of the Valleys three peaks. I've just checked this out on the map Adam. It looks awesome and your walk was fantastic albeit windy and a tad chilly. I agree the basin and the river are super fascinating - a great feature. I see the Beacons Way goes right over the top. Thanks for sharing. Mark

Hi Mark thanks for the comment! Yeah you would love it here , that quiet river valley is so beautiful and an awesome feature. One could extend the walk up the ridge to Fan Lila but it was too windy and unpleasant that day. The walk up neighbouring hills Fan Frynych and Craig Cerrig Gleisiad is fantastic too if you haven’t done it? Look forward to your next outing. Best wishes

Hi Adam. That looked a tough one because of the mud. I was on a mountain similar once and the sole of my boot ripped off🤦🏻😂 It's so tiring. Good job you had the bench. Brilliant views across to the dragons back and others. Really nice. Beautiful waterfall you found and it was all your. Glad you finished up on a nice forest part to finish, looked much easier.
