We owned a 1977 I28 for 17-18 years sailed out of Dana Point, CA. Mostly going to Catalina, Channel Islands, San Diego and LA and Long Beach harbors sometimes as long as 14 days. Your newer model has much more amenities, than ours did but the previous owner of our boat had installed a Yanmar GM20 just before selling to us. I believe your 28 is the only cleaner I28 than mine! Enjoy your adventures.

Wow, it sounds like you guys had many great adventures on that boat!! We definitely lucked out on finding such a great boat in great shape. Now our job is to keep it maintained and improve. Thanks for watching!:)

I hope Corry Jones considers donating to conservation groups in NZ. Project Janszoon, Forest & Bird, or Moa Conservation would be a good place to start.
@feroxranger11 күн бұрын
He was clearly told that he was not allowed to kill native protected wildlife species and he was instructed on what they were. He broke the rules of the game and the laws of NZ. He killed a bird called a Weka and could have been prosecuted for it. There is no skill involved in hunting a Weka, they will almost come and eat out of your hand. Cheater with absolutely no respect for the country that he was a guest in. Should have been punished more by the NZ authorities, they let him off with a written warning but he should at least have been banned from ever returning to NZ.

IMO the air quality there in Idaho on race day was a major factor. Probably would've been advisable for the race director to cancel the race, as much of a hassle at that is. Particulate matter from forest fires can do serious damage to our cardiovascular and pulmonary systems during an average day, not to mention the incredible stress we place on our bodies when attempting a rugged and super tough ultra like this.

how do organizers make sure runners don't cheat by riding a car?
@thelostcompass2 ай бұрын
First off I would hope that the competitors who are hand selected for this elite race would have better character than that. You have to have an extensive résumé to get into this race. Secondly I think it’s harder than it sounds to actually do that in this race you have an idea where people are and if they’re suddenly in front of you, you may start asking questions. But I’m sure Bobby and Badwater could chime in better on this subject.

Its a wet head which I gladly accept in exchange for its room and just, and I mean just enough headroom to wash my hair Lol. An amazing boat the Catalina 34, mine? 1987.

Great video overall, but I'd humbly ask you to edit out the drone footage. Flying drones in wilderness areas is both illegal and detracting from the serenity that makes these places what they are. Keeping the footage in the video could inspire other content creators to fly drones in similar areas (after all, most people watch others to learn what to do rather than reading the actual rules). This is especially true given how high quality your videos are! Cheers,
