Cool interview, and thank you for the props on it. District 9 was a young bunch of fuckers.. Cesar was 15 when he recorded the first 7”… and we grew from there and everyone in F451 played in D9. Thank you again..

Thanks for pointing that out. You don't always realize the new ticks that creep in as an interviewer. And that's a new one for me! Damn

65,000 or 65 - absolutely true. You played this small place in Suffolk Co. in the island, not a big crowd and you guys just started having fun with it and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Danny was playing the pipes hanging down from the ceiling, they sounded really good actually.

Yep, lots of cliques back in the day, the preppies, the sort of stoners - kinda like Spicoli in fast times, the punk/hardcore kids ect. Each kinda had their own little turf spot, the pole, the tree, the back entrance, the diner, the pizzeria ect. For anyone who might be wondering, everything he's saying is all true, no exaggeration. Those were good times back then. Glad to hear Louis is still around. Mr. Pina was great dude, only met him a couple of times but he was a solid dude, made an impression. Half of the new stuff we heard was Tommy Blasting it on his comically giant boombox out in front of JFK.

I listened to a few of their songs and it was definitely not punk or rock but as most pundits felt it was ahead of its time. It needs a name. I call it rage banging music, which is not very catchy, so i used the german word, wogen, which can mean rage and shortened it to wo and combined it with banging, to form wobangin. How bout Cold Sweat and wobangin music? thanks for a slice of history from the bronx.

Albany would literally explode if you guys reunited and played here. We have a new venue that is killing it. Something to think about. Literally explode. My band has covered transcendence in years past, and we still get asked to do it at shows. Your following has never wavered and maybe even grown here since you disbanded.

C'mon UV...open up to the reunion idea. If you guys showed up to a TIHC, it would be amazing. I totally understand where you're coming from with the new material comment, I think we can all respect that. But trust me on this, your fans would be so stoked on this. We don't need new material for a single reunion show...as much as we would love the idea of the reformation of Irate. Please do this.
