Ancient people from Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Romans all talk about Jewish people - where were the arabs? Even the word Arab comes from the Hebrew arav and aravah. Who are the arabs? You mentioned that the first room would be where the body could be cleaned. But, in the case of Jesus, it was late in the day when they took Him down from the cross. They didn't have time to properly prepare the body. That's why the women were coming on Sunday morning to prepare His body. The Shroud of Turin testifies to this that His body had not been cleaned up.

There is a house in Ephesus that is supposed to be where Mary fell asleep and was then assumed into Heaven. But, I did hear that Mary did not want to die in Ephesus, so she returned to Jerusalem and that is where she fell asleep. How can we be so sure of things that occurred 2000 years ago? Archaeology can help a lot, but it can only go so far.

The Protoevangelium of James does not state where Mary was born. It states that, at the age of 3, she was taken up to the Temple where she would be raised by the priests, and I assume some others. At the age of 12 she was married to Joseph, a widower.
