that looks like a good way to lose a fuel pump and an electronic ignition bug all at the same time. if the coil is producing less than 12 volts, the electronic ignition will fry in seconds and any foolishness that goes on in that pump can change the voltage. as for me, I just built an original mechanical pump, and I put a new set of points in every year.

I didn't have too much of a problem doing this with the kick start. A symptom of it not correctly done is the kick part will turn forward when trying to start it by the electric starter. At least it did that in my case and I had to remove the clutch cover and set that right and put everything back together. I have an issue with the side gear. My dumb ass being the first time working on a fourwheeler engine. Thought I had to remove the side gear housing to remove the motor. Well, obviously I lost a ton of oil and pulled the shaft that has all those gears and they fell loose. Im guessing there are small spacers, possibly washers on that too. I tried to line the gears back up and slide the shaft back through all the gears and successfully did but its not driving. It feels like it kicks in gear (that little jerk) but doesn't pull. Originally I had the motor off changing the timing chain and also drilling out head cover bolt holes and tapping and using helicoils for the top cover. So I had the change clutch off and centrifugal clutch too but that all went back on good. Aside from the kickstart which I had to redo as mentioned earlier. So I'm thinking its sidegear

I really appreciate the zooming in on the reverse mechanism. I was wondering if I had it correctly installed and you confirmed that. Very grateful. Im trying to figure out how to hold the centrifugal clutch to torque the nut but the clutch turns with the wrench and I cant figure out how to stop it

after a while, the plastic piece that goes across the dash panel cap gets saturated with old fuel and that's what smells. It's not like gas is leaking anywhere. I personally just never fill the tank on my 73 and I don't have that problem

You do know that you can manually lock in the hubs, and you can have 4x4 again right? But that would require you to get your lazy ass out of the seat and perform a task rather than just twist a knob on the dash.
@oldmuscle81565 ай бұрын
Is your attention span so short that you couldn’t finish a 5 minute video? I mentioned locking the hubs. The video was to help someone who is trying to track down their actual problem instead of just coping with the problem like you do.

Nothing wrong with a cheap saw. Especially for someone that will probably only use it a couple times a year. Battery-powered ones aren't a good choice either, the batteries go bad over time if they just sit there or if people leave them sitting on the charger for six months. Only makes sense if you have other tools of the same brand that use the same battery. I personally find mixing fuel very annoying. I use very little of it and it's hard to measure and properly mix tiny amounts of fuel. I usually just end up buying TruFuel which is way overpriced.

Lowe’s recently gave these to a bunch of volunteer fire departments in the area just prior to several round of severe storms pounding the area for days upon days. Needless to say, what an absolute piece of shit, and you definitely get what you pay for with this piece of garbage. The first 4 times one of the guys attempted to use it (over our trusty Stihls, and our Milwaukee electric) we found the piece of garbage bogged down and stalled out more times then not. Couldn’t get through half a tree, or even through half a decent sized branch without it bogging down and stalling out every single time. We will definitely stick to the names you can bet your life on, and while somewhat grateful for this free handout, it is absolute garbage.

That is exactly why I just purchased one today. LOL Had to get one just because it is a 4 stroke. Just paid $139 with tax but yeah, I was wanting to see what this would be like. I will be trying it out Saturday to see. Update. It does work but a bear to start. I have chainsaws but, this one if you just decide to pull the rope like normally it won't allow that. If you just think you are going to pull like normal it will just kick back and yank the handle from your hand. I have the just pull one pop of compression stroke and it starts fine that way. Mine does just stop like if it was switched off but restarts, I suspect it has to do with the speed limiter on coil, just a guess. I hate that blub blub blub from the limiter at full throttle however you don't notice it on bigger logs in bigger cuts. Oh and, still getting small copper looking specks in the engine oil, not sure what to make of this.

Great job 👍🏿. Poor design by Ford engineer. I am assuming the new control arm comes with ball joints from Ford. I guess the dealership would replace the whole lower control arm when the ball joints are shot. 🤔 That would be faster. They screw us budget guys in the end every time.😅
