Bought this from Lowes a year back for $47. This is never let me down. Dropped over a hundred trees with this and it runs like a champ. The vibrations ain't as bad as a 2 stroke. Very low kickback. Does hog a lot of gas though. Takes a while to start up if the weather is cold. Quick summary, I love this baby !

Just got one of these off market place for 80 bucks. Was worried since it was a big brand name how it would be and honestly this thing worked just fine. Had no issues starting it up at all. For 80 bucks I’m really happy with.

Bought one last weekend, read the manual a few minutes, took out to farm and cut down a 18" dead locust - took almost 5 minutes and another 10 to break down the rest of the tree. Have used it about 5 hrs total, clearing 6-12" trees and it hasn't shown any signs of slowing down yet ...

They sell them in a store called Ollie's. A store that sells you name it just about. A closeout overstock merchandise store in the northeast for 129.99. Some years ago, I bought a Honda trimmer that was four stroke. Smooth quiet but a little heavy.

I've had one for like 3 years , that see's a lot more action than just the average home owner saw , as my primary source of heat is wood . I like it because it always fires right up , still on the original plug . It does seems slightly under powered , is kind of heavy , but my only real gripe is it doesn't seem like the bar oiler works as well as my other saws , so seems to dull the chains sooner . I have other decent saws like homelites and some heavy craftsman and Echo . But I know with this I'm not going to spend 1/2 hour trying to make it run. When your 63 , with a twice broken back , that's a lot.

That is exactly why I just purchased one today. LOL Had to get one just because it is a 4 stroke. Just paid $139 with tax but yeah, I was wanting to see what this would be like. I will be trying it out Saturday to see. Update. It does work but a bear to start. I have chainsaws but, this one if you just decide to pull the rope like normally it won't allow that. If you just think you are going to pull like normal it will just kick back and yank the handle from your hand. I have the just pull one pop of compression stroke and it starts fine that way. Mine does just stop like if it was switched off but restarts, I suspect it has to do with the speed limiter on coil, just a guess. I hate that blub blub blub from the limiter at full throttle however you don't notice it on bigger logs in bigger cuts. Oh and, still getting small copper looking specks in the engine oil, not sure what to make of this.

I have one I picked up at tractor supply for $120. I've had it almost a year. It does ok for small jobs around the house. I do recommend changing the chain though. It has started everytime I needed it to. And it eats gas.

I just bought one and ran it today.. I got a 16inch instead of 18inch.. Once I figured out to run it... it ran good, and did it's job I felt.. It did take fuel more I realize with that.. I'm pretty happy with it I'm also a auto mechanic so if anything goes wrong?? I'll figured what to do.. But your right it's cheaply made

That thing is cool! How’s it restart after it gets hot? Sounds like a four mix stihl trimmer lol! Edit…just got to the part about the valves and it getting hard to pull when it gets hot. Figured that would be something to deal with.

Lowe’s recently gave these to a bunch of volunteer fire departments in the area just prior to several round of severe storms pounding the area for days upon days. Needless to say, what an absolute piece of shit, and you definitely get what you pay for with this piece of garbage. The first 4 times one of the guys attempted to use it (over our trusty Stihls, and our Milwaukee electric) we found the piece of garbage bogged down and stalled out more times then not. Couldn’t get through half a tree, or even through half a decent sized branch without it bogging down and stalling out every single time. We will definitely stick to the names you can bet your life on, and while somewhat grateful for this free handout, it is absolute garbage.

The valve lash is too tight from the factory which slows them down. Set it to 0.006” (0.15mm). I just bought the leaf blower and the engine looks suspiciously like the Makita 4cycle I just replaced. Both my makita and this senix blower were too tight on the valve clearance. Once corrected it ran like a champ. Im now thinking of buying the chain saw. I gave up on 2 stroke tools. After 1 season they just dont run right.

I wish everything I owned was able to be had in a 2stroke engine..lol except my speedboat 🚤, fast 2stroke boat's EAT FUEL ⛽️! Bought one from lowes for 99$ 18 bar I thought better priced then what I was gonna get then used heavily for the first 2 weeks ran and cut better than most other two strokes I've used but after about the 3rd week I had to sharpen the blade and the inky issue I can say I have w it is the chain loosens constantly and sparks while cutting however I think something is going on w the bar chain oil delivery. But otherwise it runs like a champ just hard to start your wife will break her hand when trying to do so lol

Nothing wrong with a cheap saw. Especially for someone that will probably only use it a couple times a year. Battery-powered ones aren't a good choice either, the batteries go bad over time if they just sit there or if people leave them sitting on the charger for six months. Only makes sense if you have other tools of the same brand that use the same battery. I personally find mixing fuel very annoying. I use very little of it and it's hard to measure and properly mix tiny amounts of fuel. I usually just end up buying TruFuel which is way overpriced.

To be fair, a 4 stroke chainsaws potential is there. In the 70s, 80s and 90s 2 strike motorcycles dominated the race circumstances. 4 strokes could not compete. However, that KS to Honda and Yamaha with their innovative designs in pistons, valves and timing 4 strokes could not only compete with 2 strokes, but in many ways dominated them. Now with efi systems, a 4 stroke motorcycle woukd blow a 2 stroke out of the water. That said the potential is there, but the technology and execution isn't. Maybe 20 years from now a company will make an effect 4 stroke chainsaw, but until then yeah 4 stroke chainsaws are garabage.

@oldmuscle8156 I agree 👍 💯 with your comment! My grandpa Didas had a small engine repair shop, until he passed in 1989. He taught me how engines worked as a child. But he spoke to his customers that they were good tool's. I was a die hard Husky fanatic. Until I became disabled in 03 and can't run a big saw. And the 2 small saws i have are the BEST small saw's that I've EVER owned in my life, and would recommend them to ANYONE!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 👋🤠
