In terms of technology, as part of the Women in Construction project, we conduct research to understand how Construction 4.0 influences the role of women in construction.

I am a consultant specialising in construction and ECI is amazing to develop the scope and when the client is unsure what work they require upfront. The downside is the fees can be high and dont get drawn into ECI from the contractor if it provides little to no benefit.

I agree with your comments here. It can be an expensive exercise, but done correctly, especially if the contractor works well with all the parties involved, it has many benefits.

@@constructionresearch5113 Agreed, in some instances it is very beneficial i.e complex projects and obtaining contractors input into design or enabling works. A clearly defined scope from the contractor and set deliverables referenced in the contract are a good way of managing.
