I've got a 2012 Qashqai, the worldwide version of the Rogue, and it's getting rattly on bumpy roads, even though I put in new shocks and struts and replaced the trailing arm bushings, one of which was responsible for a weird groaning noise every now and then. So I think this may be a summer weekend project. Any thoughts on polyurethane bushings?

Great explanation. Question: How do we know if a PCV valve (new) is good? If I turn mine upside-down there is a clear gap (opening) before the spring engages. It is not fully closed in that position but the plunger will fall closed if turned downwards. Is this normal? I have no reference and none of the videos explain this - they just say 'shake it' to hear the rattle.

I have a 04 Honda accord ex and the sound is only when I start it print he morning my pulley shakes and makes a noise it’s loose to & the lights flicker , but after a few mins the sound goes away it’s not this sound but something similar

Is there a product that cleans the PCV valve and also the EGR valve, so one product for both?

Did the abs lock up the wheel bearing you replaced? My left front is locking up but it eventually clears up. I think the computer disables it? Any thoughts? Ive already replaced both front bearings in the past few years.

Just spent the day getting the subframe off my 2006 Nissan Note....smaller than this truck.....had to take the anti sway bar off in the end....would not clear the steering wrack....did I do something wrong.

During times of higher intake manifold vacuum (idle, cruise, deceleration) and thus lower crankcase pressures, the PCV valve activates, creating a metered draft to draw the crankcase vapors into the intake manifold vacuum port via the PCV valve hose (aka "ported" vacuum). During times of lower intake manifold vacuum (acceleration) and thus higher crankcase pressures, the PCV valve deactivates and the crankcase vapors are then pulled into the air intake tube via suction (aka "venturi" vacuum). Note the consistant vapor-drafting overall, but in two entirely different senerios and directions. Truly a simple but brilliant design once fully understood. Hope this helps. 😃

I recently purchased an edelbrock billet pcv valve for my small block chevy. It immediately caused a higher idle at startup and remained high in drive. I removed it immediately and went with a stock acdelco type. Any ideas why that occurred though?
