Absolutely loved this game top to bottom. Having no idea what cyberpunk was beforehand (or after until 2077 came out) I just found it to be gorgeous, run well on my dogshit PC and so much fun in general! Doesn't need a sequel but I'd love if it were remastered at this point

I still remember how back in the days.. in 2006 or so I got a copy of Far Cry 1 and my PC couldn't run it because it asked something about "Shader Model 3" which my PC didn't had.. I had to wait until 2008 when my parents got me a brand new PC with an GeForce 9800 GT and Far Cry 1 was THE FIRST game I boot up! and ooh boy I was impressed! it blew me away, same feeling for Mirror's Edge and Assassin's Creed 1.

The game was spectacular for the foliage. Something that was never seen before. The water effects were also state of the art. Plus the gun play and the huge environments were fun, so no wonder it took the world by storm. I also did not expect the mutants when I first played. It was like RTCW when you are suddenly fighting scary Zombies in tombs instead of Nazis.

Seba, guten tag! I love it that someone, somewhere, still uses the 2000s phrase "s@cks assz" (It feels like South Park, and listening to Cartman) on a video about gaming memories, and, specifically, NFS U2. Nostalgia alert incoming! : One of the most RIDERS ON THE STORM games of all time, Underground 2 still rings IN MY HEAD, makes me want to GIVE IT ALL during a RUSH HOUR, playing with a MIND KILLER car like Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII (WOW, what a beauty!), crashing and swearing THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION SHOW is to blame for me failing that Drag race on and on, feeling like a NOBODY, (NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE) then I could SWITCH/TWITCH, CRASHING FOREIGN CARS (again) ultimately winning, the sensation being like experiencing a ROCKET RIDE!!! And, now, I remember every race (I was about 13-14 in late 2004 - early 2005), and I can say you deserve my thanks, NOTHING BUT YOU (Paul Van DYK - a German DJ, hahaha jawohl!) could make me remember how I played this game and raced with my older brother and bragged with friends about car mods and... a neverending story! I adored how this game rewarded the player for staying covert and silent. You could finish the map in a very straight angle, but if you took the time and explored you found so much environmental storytelling and it was always fun to listen to the mercs talking to eachother. I was very disappointed when Far Cry2 erased that entire aspect and made the mercs pretty much into StormTroopers without personality again. And I think they never really got back to that standart. Every Far Cry after it was not that good at giving the enemy a real face and character.

This game is a real classic, and I think it aged pretty well for the most part. Some parts hold up to modern standards and those that don't come off as charmingly cheesy and nostalgic. I love how the game starts out with fighting mercs and then mutants, the level design and visuals are really cool and the gunplay is fast and exciting.

Oh, lord. I know a lot of people in these comments are miffed about how the franchise after ditched Jack's story in favour of an anthology approach involving different characters in hostile locales, but I think Ubisoft made the right call ultimately. Far Cry is in my honest opinion, one of the most infuriating, unbalanced shooters of all time. The Trigen are just so unbearable to fight against, with ridiculous damage output. This is made even worse by how the level designs aren't built to accommodate them, resulting in some truly frustrating deaths. I know that when it comes to difficult games, they're built around skill. But skill is thrown out the window every time you encounter The Trigen. And don't even get me started on how even regular mercenaries seem to be hopped up on Captain America's supersoldier serum... In fact, I think that not only is the standalone sequel Far Cry 2 a massive surprising improvement in all but story, but the console port Far Cry Instincts is an improvement on the base game: That game has more linear level design, reworks The Trigen to be more forgiving and less daunting to fight against, and even changes the plot so that Jack is captured and injected with the mutagen, giving the player a bigger fighting chance than they do in Far Cry 1.

Hey guys, thanks for your attention! Just to make a few things more clear: This is by no means a full, detailed list of EVERY game that has ANY type of chicken in it. Not only do I think that that would be an immeasurably big task, it also just wasn't my intention. I probably should've made it more clear that this is a cherry picked history with some very subjective choices. Still, I'd love to hear about all the games you guys remember with chickens in them. What I should also make absolutely clear is that the use of Chat-GPT in (parts of) the research for this video and it's thumbnail was birthed out of the talk mentioned in the video that I had with my cousin. It was supposed to be more of a joke than anything else. Sorry if there was any confusion, I'll do better next time!
