Could be the high end things they made the music with were still so limited compared to what free softwares offer now, it was just high tech enough to build complex sounding things from more or less stacking less complicated layers. The approach is probably very different now because of the options. Maybe, just a thought. I agree with you 🤜🤛
@MattLind-oi5kg3 ай бұрын
Autechre is like the first level of "I am not a peasant plebian" for electronica. Underneath that level, you will find the electro scene, along with the more deeper notes of techno house and so on. The level where the kids go off exploring in their expressions. You can't link on youtube any longer, so just search "Nomadic - Metro mover" for the ruggedest shit.

Vulnicura is an incredible album, especially the live version. unfortunately it came out during a pretty grisly break up, and when i listen to the songs now i still feel kinda weird lol. her collabs with Arca (and Haxan Cloak) on Vulnicura were amazing imo now, Utopia is easily my least fave album of her's. Too bloated, too discordant, her vocals are just streeeeetched and no recognizable melodies. But there are a few tracks i like i am a pretty big fan of Fossora. the last half of the self-titled track is bonkers. and there are some other career highlights on here if you ask me. Vespertine remains unbeatable, tho!
@no2iscopying4527 ай бұрын
Agree with you to some extent ......Bjork's music has become more personal since Vulnicura and lacks the energy of her earlier records; Richard's music has become much more introspective, and while the compositions and arrangements are still there, the sound has become much more flat compared to before and after Drukqs. It may also have something to do with his obsession with analog equipments, which can be heard in the Analord series and Syro; and finally, may I ask if you've heard Rushup Edge and Steinvord? I think you'd probably like these tracks.: )

@@mobsyndicate1389 1/2. Depends on your feet though .. if you have wide feet and want a roomier fit then maybe go a whole size up.. prefer a snug fit then 1/2 size. Its all about your comfort preferences

PS Feature I did not consider was have to do 45-rpm belt repositioning. So in a way, I am OK with having 2 TT now. The other is used for those to play the several 45 rpm 12 in singles i have.
@JermaineJagger8 ай бұрын
Ahh yea! Haha I use that as even more of an excuse to have a 2nd turntable in my bedroom now too
@stevenj23809 ай бұрын
Hey, enjoy it. Once you set this up, it becomes easier for next time. I have another brand, very similar construction. I think you should get a leather (not felt) TT mat, such as the Pro-Ject-LeatherIt. I am very happy with a black lambskin mat of another brand on my glass platter. If you upgrade cartridge, also upgrade the phono cables. Have had TT's since 1978. I tell the take of how it cost me several hundred dollars to repair that one, a week out of the box, when I was changing cartridges. My carelessness and older eyes, did it wrong. I accidentally pulled the wires out of the cartridge and not by the metal caps. No matter what, if you change cartridge, loosen it to lower carefully, look carefully, and remove wires very carefully. I had not changed a cartridge since a prior TT in the 1990s. Which did have a removable headshell. Since mid 90s, used stereo less, finally got a computer, then digital cameras. At least the shop which did the repair, installed a much higher grade cartridge than the one included.

Jermaine you can literally make a video talking about topics for like 2 hours and I wouldn't mind whatsoever, so don't be ashamed of having the videos going a bit longer! We love it! Also, I appreciate you being objective about the entire Lizzo situation. I wasn't a huge fan of her from the get go, so when the allegations came out about her I was quick to assume that she's the worst and should be cancelled, but you're absolutely right like people should be innocent until proven guilty and I hate that our society doesn't think more like that - and I'm more ashamed at myself for jumping to conclusions when really neither of us know for a fact if what is alleged is true or not. Anyways keep up the great work and these videos really do make my day! I love these videos and honestly all of the videos you make about records are so informative and interesting and hilarious and I look forward to seeing more! Since record collecting is out of my budget right now, I love manifesting other people's collections and knowledge HAHA!!!

OMGGG thank you SO much!!! That honestly means ALOT so thank you for the motivational kind words! 😊 And yes recognizing is the most important part!! I feel as a society we've become trained to have the tendency to automatically assume the worst & instantly go on a witch hunt at times forgetting that these people are human too, not just that.. their celebrities in the limelight of which people can accuse them of things even easier for recognition at times. For example, the very easily believable sounding due to his aesthetic, accusations of Marilyn Manson. Many of those were dropped & found to be falsified shockingly. Not saying the accusers in Lizzo case are lying of course and some of the allegations could be totally true BUT imo we should be objective & wait to see these things unfold before marking her immediately guilty on all counts. 💗

Thank you so much for this!!! I went right to the site after watching detailed dream’s major rave - and was shocked to see they have just one candle left - at all! I think it’s Dirty Santa maybe? 3 on the site itself, 2 of which were sold outZ. Not a good sign. Did find a few on other stockists’ sites but again - the reviews were very different from DD. Yours was just what I needed. I’m a longtime candle fanatic and nothing is more disappointing that spending a lot of money on a candle that does nothing. (Byredo Loose Lips I’m looking at you! For *gulp* $94.). So thanks much for saving me some dough!!

I didn't know this existed! I've been a huge fan of Aphex Twin since around 1998. (BTW, pronounced with an F not a P. Like Fix, Flat, Fun.) I don't even know how I discovered him because Los Angeles radio stations don't play good music let alone underground music. Maybe they did in the '70s and '80s. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to make this video and showing the packaging and it's contents. I love this album. This is a cool item for fans and collectors. I don't have Spotify but I do have this on CD and Amazon music. Lastly, I love that you are a fan of his. Never would have guessed. And peace to you and everyone watching this video. You are all cool!
