How do you pick up the 12 V accessory wire? Where are they on the car? I can’t find any fuse boxes. You must’ve just cut into it somewhere. How did you find that?
@daze65

All your accessories run off the 12 volt converter that comes with the kit. Any 12 volt device connects to the leads off the supplied converter.

@ that’s what I think I’m going to do just isolate everything and run it off of a fuse box and put my own switches on everything that I want to turn on and off. Thanks for the reply.

Just like where JD put the primary fuel filter making it necessary for you to take a fuel shower, where they put the battery only tells you that the JD engineers have no idea what a tractor is.

I bought my 1025R brand new 14 just now changing the battery. I’m glad I watched your video. I tried to take the battery out just taking the bulbs out didn’t work so before I start doing something stupid. I jumped on KZbin which my kids turned me onto thank God two years ago you are one of the first videos that came up. I actually thought I was gonna have to like pull the grill in the casing off or something. it never occurred to me to take the light housings out because I had tunnel vision. Thank you for the video. I am a subscriber. I don’t know how many tools I’ve had to create over the years in my building, union pipefitter by trade fabricated a lot of things I’m sure you know how Tunnel vision goes. I probably would’ve went and built a tool that didn’t work for this particular project just because of one light housing. Thank you I watched your video again. Noticed the radiator. My John Deere is old enough fans even on the top all exposed I don’t know how many videos you’ve made but like another comment great direction and tool talk. I just wanted to say if some of my grammar and or vocabularies messed up, I use the voice text because my fingers don’t work like they used to so you’ll have to excuse that

so did you go back to running the batteries in parallel or did you leave them all connected to the busbar?
@daze65
@daze65 Жыл бұрын
I’ve left them connected to bus bar right now, but i did have more speed & motor torque when ran in parallel, I experimented with both ways. I may put back to parallel for the faster mph. Never had any problems or alarms on either way of hook up.

Thanks for the video, you have raised a good issue. Wiring either way forms a parallel circuit. Wiring each battery to the buss bar is called a "home run". While running the wire from battery to battery is called daisy chaining. If I were using the daisy chain method, I would wire the middle battery (#2 battery in the circuit) to the buss bars to try to balance current flow to and from the pack. If the three batteries are balanced and the wires are the same length, I'm thinking that the motor should have the same performance. I'll check back for an update on this question.

Were you able to get the lock n lube to engage the u joint just behind the flywheel through that small hole in the frame?
@daze65

For that one I switch to my regular gun, with the small end, I plan on drilling the hole, so the lock & lube will fit

@@daze65 Even with the small end on my grease gun I had trouble getting it to release from the zerk fitting. When the dealer installed the power beyond for my backhoe they elongated the hole for me but it still didn't want to line up so it would snap on and release properly. I finally just bought a grease needle for the front main universal joint and it works just as well as the small grease fitting, without all the hassle. It might take a little longer but it beats struggling to get the grease gun on and off the zerk fitting and it saves messing around with a die grinder or hole saw...

@@1965l88 Thanks for joining the thread. I think I will try this first. I had sent my tractor in once a year (from 2018 to 2022) but it went from around 200 USD a year to 900 USD last year. I just can't afford that anymore. And who can say the dealer even greased that zerk anyway.

With using rust-oleum rattle cans, a week. But when I used it with real car paint on my truck, right away, about an hour. So if your going to use a rattle can spray paint, I would recommend minimum week or longer.

Thanks for the detailed video. I haven't done this service yet so it's helpful to see. One thing I wanted to point out is the red plastic ring in the engine side fuel filter bowl. My understanding is that the red plastic ring is meant to go in the bottom of the clear plastic bowl to indicate water in the fuel. The ring supposedly floats if water is present in the fuel. If the ring sits on the bottom then no water is present. I noticed that you used it as a spacer above the paper filter which I believe is incorrect. I did not find mention of this red ring in the manual but I believe this is the purpose. You might want to look into that. I'm new to the 1025R but I previously had a Kubota BX. When I replaced my fuel filters on the 1025R I used a Kubota filter under the floor board on the 1025R instead of the John Deere filter. I've read in the forums that some JD 1025R owners have had issues with that filter not lasting very long. I just replaced my filters at 15 hours after experiencing issues. Perhaps it's the biodiesel we use in MN or maybe something got into my fuel jug. If you are curious to try the Kubota filter the part number is Kubota 12581-43012. The filter is larger but it fits perfect and to me it appears to be a better filter.
@daze65
@daze65 Жыл бұрын
Your right with the ring, good catch, when I removed mine, it was above filter so I figured it was a spacer, found out later. That was my first time videoing on an iPhone. Next maintenance I’m re-recording. I ran over 200 hrs with no problem with filter. Probably different areas with the diesel.
