It looks like there are kitchen drawers right next to your work desk. Could you consolidate some other kitchen supplies so you could use those drawers for your office supplies? ☺️

Highly recommend getting one of those little silicon scrubbers for washing your makeup brushes! It's minimal, so helpful, and lasts forever :)

Jamie Oliver’s Chicken and Milk. It’s a simple dish but taste DIVINE!!!!! If you want to get fancy you can do a bone in lamb roast. It’s really easy. Pat the roast dry. Pour 1/4 cup of olive oil, couple of tablespoons of fresh chopped rosemary and 4 cloves of minced garlic in a bowl and mix. Spread the mixture all over the roast and then heavily salt and pepper it. Throw it in the over at 450 for about an hour or until the internal temperature reaches 145. You can also throw some baby potatoes beneath the lamb and then all you have to do is come up with a vegetable! Hope these help!! 🙌😂

I use a small rolling cart next to my desk for supplies. I don’t have drawers either. It works well and I just push it under the desk at the end of the day. It forces me to be minimal and tidy since it isn’t hidden in a cabinet. Efficient too.

Your new place is so nice! I had a very minimal desk and traded it out for a desk with drawers and a panel across the back that we already had. Even though it's technically bulkier, it conceals cords and reduces clutter on top of the desk. If you don't want to buy a new desk, the Alex drawer unit from Ikea is a popular storage option.

Thanks for this Anika, i am 51 years old and have struggled in a cycle of burnout and recovery. I am going through the process of resetting my relationship with Technology as that's been a constant challenge. Rest and peace is so important and finding a pace which is manageable. Glad i stumbled on your channel.

I don't have a "morning" routine exactly. I'm a third shifter so my "morning routine" for 7am-2pm is to sleep lol. But I'm a creature of habit so I have a "wake up" routine. I have to shower, have coffee, and eat some sort of breakfast. If I haven't done those three things, I'm not going anywhere/being productive. I also try to tidy up my space a much as I can before I walk out the door or do things I can do WHILE walking out the door. I unload the clean dishes I put in the dishwasher the night before, take out the trash, and before I come home I stop at the mailbox to pick up my mail.

Flowers in a teapot is actually a great idea! I found this really cute ceramic creamer pour at the thrift shop, which was green with clovers and flowers all over it, and used it to hold all my makeup brushes. I have another mug with tropical prints that I use for my scissors and pens/stationary items. If it's cute and it works, why not? 🤷♀️

In 2017 I tried and failted twice to take my life, and then experienced heavy alcohol abuse that turned into full vlown alcoholism. Recovery from that period of life FORCED me to slow down. I was forced to go on medical leave (a blessing in disguise), forced into intensive outpatient therapy, forced to slow down. It felt life ending. I mean, my life DID end. But now in 2024, my life is drastically for the better in most ways and its because I allowed myself to slow down. And the slow life that I have now, although embarrasingly humble, is no longer one that I want to end.

OMG you are SPEAKING MY LANGUAGE. I feel better knowing someone else FEELS the same way I feel. I am a Single Mom and my biggest hurdle is getting my kid to school on time and he gives me a hard time almost every single morning which throws me off + with juggling so much right now while I do Gig Work / Freelance work while looking for a full time job -I can't seem to get into a strict routine. I recently started finding as many Slow Productivity videos just to ease the way I feel when I can't get everything done because I have so much to do! Things popping up going wrong, one time deadlines + upkeep of my body, skin, my household = it's all driving me nuts in my daily life. It's too much and life is burning me out already. It's only when I work for someone else with that structured full time job I can put everything else in my life naturally at a routine. My days are NOT the same. If i suddenly get an Etsy order - that is my first priority to get it to the post office THAT DAY so I can keep my Seller Status in good standing. Somedays I get out and do Gig Work first thing in my day, while other days I need a full day to relax a little into content creation and being on a laptop most of the day. I too have reached a point where I will ditch my huge To Do List for a simple post it! Just b/c sometimes it gives me ANXIETY to see anymore than 2 or 3 things to do THAT DAY.

Lately, I've been contemplating retirement, uncertain whether my 401(k) and IRA will ensure a secure future. I've also invested $800K in the stock market, experiencing fluctuations without substantial gains.

Using a 401(k) or IRA is a valuable strategy for retirement planning, providing potential savings growth and tax advantages. While the stock market is promising, expert guidance is essential for effective portfOlio management
@PennyBergeron-os4ch25 күн бұрын
Opting for an invest-ment advisr is currently the optimal approach for navigating the stock market, particularly for those nearing retirement. I've been consulting with a coach for a while, and my portfOlio has surged by 45% since Q2.
