Not a band I really connected with but there's a lot to admire for sure. Lonely in your nightmare, Is there anyone out there, Ordinary world, Come undone, All you need is now are great songs.

Are you out of your mind Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding rank amateurs listen to wheels of fire, especially the live sides There’s no other group that were in their league. They were the first super group everybody else copy them from Hendrix to Led Zeppelin.

In my view Clapton's voice is weak. It is not strong enough to sing the blues and it lacks range, especially high notes, in order to create memorable melodies. On the other hand, Jack Bruce had great pipes.
@nookie0772 жыл бұрын
True. But I think he knew that himself. I'm sure I've heard him say he hated his voice and was kind of pushed to the front of the stage. If you've ever seen the footage of singing Strange Brew in black and white.... the one where he's sporting that horrendous bubble perm? Well you can just see how uncomfortable he looks even miming. Though later on he got better, especially in a range that suited him, however small that was. Layla for example.

Disraeli Gears is an album that shows how it is possible for three individually immensely talented musicians to combine their talents to produce a singular masterpiece.

8:50 - that synth sound.... I'm sure it was sampled in the early 90''s in an old school, UK hardcore rave track. To think that Nick Rhodes came up with a sound that would be used a decade later and help define a whole new sound for a new generation. Mind blown.
