We don’t tip in England unless we receive some kind of special or exceptional service but we have a minimum wage so waiters and waitresses can earn an actual liveable wage

In the U.K. there is:- - streaky bacon (looks like American bacon) which is essentially cured belly pork - back bacon which is a cut of bacon that includes the pork loin from the back of the pig. This is called a rasher. From this you can also get a medallion which is the eye of the rasher ie just the lean meat. - There is also middle cut bacon which is the two other cuts together. This is a combination of both the shortcut and streaky bacon. The large, lean 'eye' comes from the back of the pig, and the skinnier 'tail' is from the side or belly of the pig. I like this cut when I make a full English breakfast. - there is also shoulder bacon which is not as good a cut and is often used in cooking eg Quiche All U.K. bacon is cured but there’s a variety of curing processes to choose from. Also bacon, whatever cut, can be unsmoked or smoked. All are prescribed in law and must meet strict standards about curing and additives. The fattier bacon like the streaky is nicer when it’s crispy. It’s the fat that goes crispy and tasty. The back which is less fatty and has a lot of lean meat in a rasher is better not crispy. The meat becomes overcooked if you fry to crispness.

Houses are generally smaller in the UK. So I'm guessing that's why the washing machine is often at times put in the kitchen/bashroom/garage. Just due to lack of space. Not sure though.

Nar then, I know you like British Vernacular, nar then is a Yorkshire greeting, basically now then?, I have no idea either, but that's what we say, anyway love watching your clips, I would definitely implore you to watch a program called brassic if you want a real understanding of British interpersonal interactions and mannerisms, it's very genuine and will give you a real sense of the average British person and our sense of humour, couldn't give you a better lesson, you'll never look back.

Sorry what???? 007 British? Daniel Craig American? The later films Bond an American? Please tell me you are only saying these things to trigger reaction? What the hell? William Shakespeare (who wrote Hamlet) obviously came from Albuequeque, he used to go drinking with the Beatles as it wasn't far to their hometown of Phoenix... Well, he did until the Phoenixbeat fans made it difficult. The bar owner, Alfred Hitchcock, a portly man with a pronounced New Mexican accent, did what he could and helped smuggle them into the back bar unnoticed but with limited success. Arabia is of course a town in Ohio (actually there is a town of that name in OH) but take the 'ia" suffix off, that suffix of so many places and the shock will be huge! There' s a deeply hidden clue to its approximate location. Clockwork Orange was originally banned from release in the UK, allegedly by Kubrick himself, fearing there woukd Brits who would emulate actions of the characters. I confess I think he had good reason to think that. The Ladykillers still stands up well with its age making it a little 'charmingly of its day' but not so much like many, regarded as great and rightly so, but for most today, unwatchable. For instance far cinematically and performance than I can claim to be still hold Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy in high regard. The former just seems completely unfunny and the latter make me cringe!

normally i can understand how you can scoff and laugh at certain things that arent normal to you but when it comes to the knife laws and knife angel i suggest you do some research cause to some people that would be the equivalent of someone from the uk scoffing at a school shooting in america cuase your gun laws are too loose, 'The sculpture, made from over 100,000 seized blades, was specifically created to highlight the negative effects of violent behaviour whilst solidifying our critical need for social change. Not only does the Angel act as a catalyst for turning the tide on violent and aggressive behaviour, but it is also acts as a beautiful memorial designed to celebrate those lives who have been lost through these violent and thoughtless actions. ' these arent just random knives, each of those blades were involved in ruining someone's life.

People can obviously get drunk in a pub/bar , however there is a certain criteria which would be classed as too drunk. Basically as soon as someone puts their health safety and wellbeing at risk they can no longer be deemed as safe. Bar staff see this and they refuse to serve them any more beer. As a doorman myself the staff refusing to serve them anymore drinks it tends to get them to leave peacefully anyway.

The fact that drivers can be considerate when you're waiting to Cross the road. On my way home from work there is one pelican crossing and the rest are just crossings with islands in the middle and one zebra crossing that is split by an island in the middle. I was walking home yesterday and was waiting to cross from the island bit to the other side when a car literally stopped after coming off the roundabout to go along the road I was waiting to cross to let me go. I've also experienced times when I've been approaching a crossing and someone has stopped to let a pedestrian in front of me cross but then waited so I could get across the road too. That's with just normal crossings that aren't zebra pelican or other traffic light crossings.

We have apparently more accent variations per 30 square miles than anywhere else on the planet. The F- word can vary from ‘ u’ to ‘oo’- we know what everyone’s saying! You need to look at Irish accents- that would loose you totally! 😂😄

In U.K. and Europe recipes, ingredients are usually weighed or liquids measured in volume. The blocks of butter have measurement on the wrapper. Grass fed butter is more flavourful than grain fed butter.

We have country lanes like that. Small!, and there are usually some places to over- take but one has to drive with caution. We are used to them in the country. Cars are now made so much wider - just no good on British roads. But that idiot should have stopped .

The kite flying one came into effect here in Toronto for a while since people were attaching razor blades to the kites and battling with them. Razor blades were being left all over the grass.
