new performance exhaust will get you close and you may need to put a slightly bigger main jet in carburetor.

it depends really on the condition of the carb

So there's an extra long throttle cable brass tube on the original carb. You will need to use something to take up the slack as the new carb has a much shorter tube. I use old fuel line that's nice and hard. Cut it to size or maybe a little longer than size and put it on before carb throttle tube.

@@poughkeepsieblue if you can’t get a new one then you’ll have to use permatex. I’d imagine you’d have to let it set up for awhile before screwing the bowl on.

@@jackrutherford-1 thanks, ive used it before, so i know how to let it tack, and go thin on such a small part. But im pretty sure Homda doesnt make them anymore, and i wouldnt trust a used one. Thanks for the advice, and again, thanks for the carb cleaning video, im sure if i run the bike, ill have to clean the carb 5 more times before it runs well, since it hasnt really ran in 30 years. I put red loctite on the exhaust bolts holding the exhaust to the cylinder. New owner never reported an issue with this and it's been over 3 years.

for the turn signal, try tapping your flasher relay with a screw driver. Sometimes that will get it unstuck. Or you may need a new flasher relay. Headlight sounds like it is burned out. I just did a video on LED headlight solution for urban express.

yes, belt sander. Machinists scoff at that method but it works for me. You can always tape sand paper to a piece of glass and flatten any minor issues.

It's like a 50 or 55. If you open the idle jet with a microdrill bit a little that will give you the extra gas to compensate for the small main jet.

Dellorto SHA is a great carb. Downside is buying the adapter for the intake which is often out of stock.

none of the chinese carbs that I know have an oil mix port. You would just mix oil with gas in your can and add it to the gas tank.

@@jackrutherford-1 thanks for the reply, no worries! I have fully taken everything thing apart. I am still pending purchase of a stuffed crank, brakes, HPI, etc. Seems like a lot is out of stock at treatland right now so fingers crossed. If you hear of anyone having a set just lmk :) I have been too busy ripping down the bike to jump on moped army or find a facebook group. I have documented the entire rip down and I will do the same for the build. btw, i used wd40 on my cables then I followed with silicone lube. I think the wd40 helped clean the cables out, like you said it removed the old lube and stuff, but it all came out looking really dirty/rusty so I think it might have helped flush it. i made sure to be a bit liberal with silicone as to make sure it pushed the wd40 out. I think I am going to rewire the full harness with all new wires. Since I am going to 12v and LEDs I figured id just use the ignition system from HPI and then the rest can just be binned and I will use my own stuff for speedo and what not. I can maybe get a 3d printed cluster thing where it is just a cell phone holder and a barrel for the key with a hidden killswitch.

You can get a set of micro drill bits and drill out the pilot jet slightly wider.
