Just remember for self and others regarding pride: 1. There’s more better than you in worldly stuff, younger and more talented 2. The Salaf already preceded you in hereafter acts, and the current scholars were chosen above you, and that a person can do good entire life then die a Kafir, and a Kafir can do bad entire life then die Muslim It might put someone down but hopefully it makes us more relying on Allah and comfort with Qadr Allah favors some over others in hereafter with his pleasure And in the world also favors to his will, although not really a virtue for hereafter if it’s a Kafir.

but, doesnt we as a muslim have to give reminder to each other as told in Surah Al - 'Asr verse 3 and Surah At - Taubah verse 71
@contemplatequran
@contemplatequran Ай бұрын
Yes, for reminders benefit the believers. So if we have knowledge about a topic, we are encouraged to remind when appropriate. However, this is not all the time. And if we don't have knowledge, it is forbidden for us to remind. As for if you have knowledge and remind others, then only do this when you don't fear for your heart - for reminding can be dangerous as a person starts to think good of himself, show off, become arrogant and self amazed. So this is a reminder to pay attention to our hearts, and when we remind (if there is a need), make it solely for the sake of Allah.

السلام عليكم Just wanted to ask if you are native arabic speaker if not then how did you learn. Sorry if it feels too much but i just trying to find tips so i can benefit from the scholars. بارك الله فيك
@contemplatequran
@contemplatequran 2 ай бұрын
وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته I am not a native speaker. I will tell you my journey but it mainly consisted of self study as I didn’t have much guidance on how to begin and I was young. So the route was long, and no doubt there are easier paths to take. Allah guided me to study Arabic first through my parents who took me to some Arabic classes during childhood - we started the first Madinah book but the lesson stopped after a while and I continued the book by self study. I now know that Bayna yadayk is actually a better book to study (under a teacher). When I was a late teen, Allah instilled a love in my heart for the speech of the scholars, so I would listen to their short videos in arabic, transcribe the arabic, then check my arabic for any mistakes, then translate it to English, then check my translation for any mistakes (by using a published translation already available). I tried to do this every day for a few years and I picked up a wealth of vocabulary. It would take ages at first (5mins of Arabic Audio initially took me 1-2hrs to transcribe and translate) then it became much easier, and soon I began just listening to arabic lectures and audios daily without a need for English. I mainly focused on the lectures of shaykh Abdurrazzaq al Badr may Allah preserve him. During this time, I also joined an arabic programme for 3 years where we studied more secular arabic. Towards the end of the three years, I picked up a random arabic book from a library and decided to read and translate it with a dictionary by my side. I would mull over the contents of a page for a week sometimes, trying to make it out in English and understand the intent of the author, but after a while, it became so easy to just read page after page in Arabic, of course using a dictionary to look up words here and there. Many people delay reading Arabic books because it’s daunting but Allah gave me the ability to dive in and with hardship comes ease. I never completed the translation as the book was not the best to start with but now I am a confident reader alhamdulillah. I now study shariah at a university and everything is in Arabic, but I am able to understand most of it. And I am still learning. What I would recommend is that you rely upon Allah, have Sabr and don’t give up, and make use of the early morning after fajr for studying as we know from a Hadith that the early morning is blessed. Join a Markaz from beginning to end where you learn Arabic, and stick to it. And on the side, after fajr, go through an Arabic lecture series of a scholar (e.g any series on scholarly subtitles), 1. Listen to the Arabic, 2. Transcribe it 3. Check your spelling etc is correct by looking at the arabic pdf of the lecture 4. Next, translate it 5. Check the translation is correct by look at how scholarly subtitles or a pdf translated it 6. Note down any key words. Do this for 30mins each day so that you can understand the language of the scholars. I don’t recommend you mainly rely on self study, rather, make sure you join an Arabic markaz and cling to the guidance of your teacher. But self study on the side too. And Allah knows best. وفيك بارك الرحمن

جزاك الله خيرا كثيرا Last question, best dictionary to use? Also i’m so thankful that you took your time and gave me a indepth response that can help or give me confidence to not give up. I think that’s what i’ll do is find a markaz and join it because i’ve hit a intermediate wall where i’m stuck at this level

@@mingo3568 آمين وإياك I mainly only use aratools.com - go to the 'word' section. It's good for arabic to english but not as good Eng to Ar. I also use al Mawrid from time to time, and reverso context to see how words are used in context. Here's so maraakiz I know of which might be good: Markaz Bayaan markazbayaan.com/ Markaz al Ibaanah ibaanah.com/ If you can understand 60%+ of shaykh Abdur-Razzaq al Badr, I would recommend joining one of his mutun programs (run by his students) where you have to complete listening to the audio lectures of each mutun within a time frame, then you do a short online test, and go onto the next mutun until the program is done. At the end you get an ijazah for participation. It's really good for improving your listening skills and learning the language of the scholars. He has a tawheed programme, aqeedah, tafseer, seerah, dua... Etc. Its on telegram t.me/addlist/ZdzsctPLl5k4NDFk May Allah سبحانه وتعالى guide us both to what He loves.

@@contemplatequran شكرا The aratool is dictonary is so beneficial, exactly what i need to search for words. Have you had issues in your journey with حروف. For example if به, عليك came in sentence and the only thing in understanding the sentence is unlocking the meaning of that حروف. جعله الله في ميزان حسناتكم

@@mingo3568 yes I have had issues with them. Sometimes if i can't figure it out on the first go, then I leave what I am reading and look at it the next day or at a later date. Usually i then arrive at the answer alhamdulillah. If not, I ask a teacher. It's also important to know the meanings each حرف can take, e.g. When does في mean على etc. Ive never formally studied a book on this, but it come up in tafsir from time to time or in some explanations of hadith. Also, sometimes you don't have to understand every word to understand the main message, so there are times where i leave it and move on, so that my progress isn't hindered. Then in the future in sha Allah I can come back to it.

BarakAllah feek. Question: If some one wants his self to be hidden because he wants to please allah in secret as he transgressed once in secret and because of this he withdraws a bit from people, yaani if he use to be among them, talk to them in islamic gatherings, duroos, masjid and now he is wanting to keep it till just giving greetings and leaving because of fear of allah and in order to please him, he wants his good deeds(like may be now he has started memorizing the quran) to be not mentioned so he keeps himself away from the eyes of people so that people dont remember him as much as before due to his speaking less with them... So can we do this?
@Arbmxar
@Arbmxar 4 ай бұрын
I m not knowledgeable as a suggestion : I would say don't miss islamic lectures, duroos of masjid befriend with righteous people but don't expose your sins i think interaction is necessary in today's time of fitnah, increase your good deeds in private, qiyam ul lyl (tahajjud) ask Allah's forgiveness salah ud duha, Qur'an, zikr etc...

@@Arbmxar Yes the last part of your advice to increase in tahajud, salah ad duha...is beneficial InShaaAllah. JazakAllahu khairan The former part where you said to attend duroos...i meant in my comment that one attends the duroos and ilmi gatherings but get up from there early,...and not let many known people know that this person is there...?

Bismillahi Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem. As salaamu alaykum wa rahmatuAllahi wa barakatuhu I am the admin to this channel but it does not mean I have knowledge. Please accept what is of benefits to you from these 4 advices I acquired from the scholars regarding this matter: 1. There is nothing harder to correct than your intention. There is a difference between (1) abandoning doing good deeds with others, and (2) doing them but hiding them in accordance with ones ability from the people. A sincere intention doesn't stop a person from doing good with the people. Only the whispering of shaytaan would bring this about. But a sincere intention does make a person feel fearful of showing off, so they increase in private deeds and constantly renew their intentions. They do not resort to abandoning the good deed altogether. Rather, some said stopping a good deed out of fear of the people is a form of showing off, since they left it for other than Allah! [Sharh arba'een an Nawawi, hadith 1]. The key is to ignore the people, and latch your heart onto Allah's pleasure, the presence of angels in gatherings of knowledge etc. And seek refuge from the plots of shaytaan. 2. Islam comes with sooo many different types of worship, and the best of us are those who gather between these different types. One category of worship are those done in secret. Another category are those that are done in public. Make no mistake - Allah praises those who do good deeds publicly in the Quran, just as He praises those who do them privately: 'Those who spend their wealth by night and by day, secretly and publicly - they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.' 2:274 Is it not better to have both forms of worship, rather than just one? 3. If we act upon the above point, the difficulty may arise: how can I maintain sincerity when doing public and pirvate deeds? I don't remember which scholar I heard this from, but I was advised to 'make the deeds you do privately in seclusion with your Lord, more than those you do publicly. Every time you increase in a public deed, make sure you increase in a private one that none but Allah know.' I ask Allah to make us from those who implement this weighty advice. It ensures that we don't fall into either of the two extremes: (1) distancing from the people such that we obtain no benefit from them and they get no benefit from us, or (2) only doing good deeds publicly as the munafiqeen do. 4. Lastly, if Allah has blessed you with the opportunity to seeking knowledge in scholarly gatherings and do good publicly as well as privately, then race towards it. And spread as much khayr as you can amidst the people, whilst always renewing your intentions. As the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “The believer who mixes with people and is patient with their harm has a greater reward than the believer who does not mix with people, nor is patient with their harm.” ibn Majah. May Allah have mercy upon our scholars and forgive me for what I do not know.

@@humairasolanki19 may Allah accept all your adiyyah my dear sis. I don't know how to pin it as it is a reply, not a comment... As for removing the basmallah and salaam then I cannot do that for they are from the most weightiest parts of the message and are what will bring it barakah: the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was asked about the best things in islam and he mentioned: "feeding the people and spreading the salaam". He صلى الله عليه وسلم also said about the basmalah, “Every matter of importance that is not begun with the praise of Allah will be left deficient.” Ibn Majah. Instead, I have put them in transliteration not Arabic. May Allah forgive me for what I do not know.

It is from a book called 'the major sins' by Shaykh-ul-Islam Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab رحمه الله. He began his book by talking about the heart - unlike all other works before him in this field! Most of them focus on sins to do with the body e.g. Drinking alcohol or zina. Allah blessed him with a tremendous understanding of the deen. Shaykh Abdur-Razzaq al Badr حفظه الله has explained this book in his lessons in madinah.
