I like your ramblings. Currently, for my channel, I am not talking because it's summer. Meaning my two youngest are home and out of school. One just graduated but she is disabled and will be living with me for a very long time. But I feel like there would be too much background noise for a talking video. But I do plan on trying to get some in when school starts back up. I never did get to see the coronation on TV. I am in America but I think it was very early in the morning for me so I was asleep. Other than that I am stitching Nostalgia Baseball of the Bucilla kits. I plan on giving it to my brother. He likes baseball.

Your work is beautiful! I am learning to do full coverage, even though I have been stitching for years. Is this 25ct? I just love your idea of cropping this.

Hi Carla … I’ve been watching your channel for a while and really enjoy it and your full coverage projects. I am about to embark on my first 25 ct gridded even weave, 2 over 1 tent stitch. I’ve been binging videos and am hearing some folks struggling with the fabric “slanting” because you’re only stitching in one direction and not “returning” to complete the X. I’m wondering if you’ve ever had this problem with your fabric and if so, how do you deal with it? My new start is a HAED called Mini Roses Golden Shadows by Erin Dertner-this is one I’ve never seen anyone on flosstube do yet. Thank you for your videos as I always enjoy them and pick up great tidbits about stitching. Best to you!

Hi Mary, A lady sewing in an interior by Delphin Enjolras was a chart available temporarily by heaven and earth designs. They often give out some charts for a limited period of time only. Other than that I can only see it online as an art poster. Sorry.

I'm still working on The Grand Library. Now at 44.95%. So close to 50% 😊. Did have a new start to have a little change. I started the freebie Forest Maiden from HAED. I wanted to do something I could try cross country all over rather than just a 30 X 30 I've been doing. Have started with the black and enjoying it so much. The Grand Libray has too much confetti to try. Didn't think I would like it. The black was a good choice to start with as it outlines everything and is mostly connected. About 24,000 stitches in all. Will be on that for a while. It's given me a fresh excitement I needed. Your cat is adorable 😍 thanks for sharing her.

@DarkXStitch Hi! I have been meaning to message you! Yep, don't worry about UFO-ing the SAL. No-one needs that stress. I nearly did the same. I concluded that I'm not going to spend my time stitching on stuff I don't want to be stitching since I hit 50! Enjoy seeing your updates. Bet life as a grandma is both thrilling and tiring. xx 😘

@TheStitchyWitch it definitely is but it's worth it 💓 yeah I think with the sal I'm going to sit on it for a few more days then decide if its worth keeping, I literally haven't touched it for about 3 months now I think x

Thank you, I enjoyed this session. I’m working on HAED Patron Saint of Green Chile by Jeff Haynie. I’m about 200 stitches off a page finish and am working monogamously as it is currently at 84%. Next up when this one is done I will be working on HAED Alpaca which is around 60%. The village looks quite charming, but the Dickensian WIP would be fun to see.

I’m also having trouble with Astrology Cat. I’m in the same boat. Because I HAVE to work on it, I don’t want to lol You should definitely start A Woman Stitching. I started it but I’m gonna crop the bottom instead of the top. You’re right though, the top does have a bunch of dark colors. I also have Stitcher’s Retreat which I’m gonna stitch as the companion piece. That’s the one Karen Bugg did a few years ago

I’m so glad I stumbled across your channel yesterday! Your voice is so soothing and love listening to your stitchy chat. Misty is a beautiful girl!! My girls also like to try and get into my threads, Bobbi has mastered how to take the lid off. I was stitching on Vibrant Fusion by Stitches Sew Beautiful. Her charts are fantastic, there is confetti but not ridiculous amounts like some of the HAED charts.
@pitownsally27959 күн бұрын
This is such a beautiful chart, and I love your progress. I too have way to many charts I want to do and not enough years left in my lifetime to stitch them all. Seeing you and some other stitchers decide to crop and do only parts of the charts has really inspired me to do the same. I stitch most of my full coverage charts in tent stitch just so I can get it done faster. May I ask how you finish your threads? I'm always looking for new and better ways. I find it much more difficult to end threads when tent stitching only because I want to finish from the front and I have a difficult time doing tent stitches on 28 count.
@TheStitchyWitch9 күн бұрын
Hi! Thank you! Approximately here 30:38 I am ending a thread at the front. 😊😊
@pitownsally27958 күн бұрын
@@TheStitchyWitch Awesome thank you. Is that just an away thread? If so I see how you would anchor that pretty quickly since you're stitching row by row. Do you have a different method for cross country?
@TheStitchyWitch8 күн бұрын
I rarely do cross country, but yes the method is the same. If I occasionally stitch in hand, I will just flip the work and end at the back. Hope that is helpful 😊

hey! love your videos ;) and love this piece! thank You for working on this, otherwise i would need to work on this myself (and i also have too many project already ;DD so you are my saver and a hero! ) i have so many similarities in "planing" everything and "changing my mind"! yeah... i guess most important is just to enjoy what are You doing and in the end every stitch counts, no matter in what order it has been worked on.. ;) by the way. the easiest way for you to know your percentage on this piece: its just minus 50% from the "current progress" (it should be accurate if you decided not to do half of the chart) ;)

Hi Carla, I think I've got an idea for you with the cropped chart. When you upload the pattern again in Pattern Keeper as a new one and mark of the cropped part, you know the amount of stitches and the percentage of that part. So now it's easy to do the math on the real PK chart. E.g. if your crop is 53 % and your WIP is at 63%... you've stitched 10%.

Gorgeous finish!! I had a lot of fun stitching along with you. I was working on my Hannah Lynn Montage. I am also Team Cat. I could be wrong but I think page four is classified has a partial page not a full page. You may want to check. It would be very sad to do all that work and not get the free charts. I’m doing Christmas in July right now but I’m planning on focusing on my Cat starting in August in hopes of finishing this year. I have 99.98% of part 1 done and a significant amount of page four. Page four is almost all huge blocks so it is nice relaxing stitching. Happy stitching!!

Your Thomas Kincade is gorgeous. I am stitching on my haed sal while watching you. doing the fox, I don't know the layout of your Haed sal cat, just remember the 4 pages have to be 4 full pages and not part page complete. My 4th page on the top row is a partial page so don't count as one of the 4 pages. hope that makes sense
@TheStitchyWitch11 күн бұрын
Yes. There was a bit of confusion. I'm aiming for 4 full pages, but the guidelines on the FB sal group don't specify any further. I worry some people will not realise and then not meet the challenge.

Oh thank you. I sort of suspected that the end page wasnt a full page because it wasn't as wide. I will continue down. That would be confusing for people though, because of where the page break is. I hope HAED explain that before the deadline.
