Japan yes, definitely one of the more beginner friendly destinations for solo travelers. Have you travelled to India and if so, would you put it as a recommended place for solo travel or the opposite? lol

1 month and a half of total time in Utah and you claim you can name the best of the best to be seen in Utah! I've lived here for over 30 years. There is a lot more to see. Happy exploration!

Wow, quite the hike! I wonder just how doable the rapelling down that rock face is. I'm the sporty/outdoorsy type (mainly trail running and mountain biking), but have no experience with a rope or harness. Think I could do it? Got any pictures of the "crux" the better to estimate it...?

It scares me to see you on a rock ledge 20 years ago. I had one clamps on me, and I found almost anything. Not really sure how I survived. But just because this a ledge is made of Stone doesn’t mean it’s going to hold you.

Hi - Loved your story! My late brother lived in Vegas for over 30 years due to his tour bus driving job into Utah & Colorado following several years of driving the LA to Vegas run. He was actually a transplanted 🇨🇦 where myself (his younger sister) still lives. For fun I was doing a research on Nevada (in memory of my brother) and more or less decided on NW Nevada’s Carson City and Reno as my 2 fav places that were a bit more like 🇨🇦 weather-wise. I had thought about Mesquite but it’s a bit too hot and dry there - though enticing because of its location. That’s great you met someone who led you back to the USA and closer to your California family. Appreciate you sharing your life and travelling experiences with us. Cheers! PS: I learned about remarkable Tahoe from watching TV golf tournaments there. Thank you for this video!

Not me watching this as a female from Finland dreaming of solo trip to Berlin and cycling from there to Poland Krakova and trying to get some info on the safety. 🥲 And since I also want to sleep in my tent I guess I need to rethink this... 😭 But seeing Finland mentioned here warm my heart. ❤️🔥 Also seeing you dip in avanto makes you one sisukas perkele. 😝🤣

As a dog owner I don't appreciate the comparison to a dog bite.. You can train dogs to be gentle sadly some humans train dogs to fight or bite. But that is not the same as a shark bite as its wild and dogs can be domesticated and are able to respect people. Also, the lack of shelters and humains society's in certain parts of the world can encourage wild dogs, as well as abandonment and poor understanding of dogs in general.
