Damn, hot take! I personally wouldn't mind Nume being moderately strong post ban but it could never be at the strength it was, pretty toxic in terms of game speed and overall control in my opinion. We ain't seen much actual blue at our locals yet but I'm not a fan of Imperial so I feel you there

I'm a sucker for Tyrant as well. Kinda wish the deck would be a tier higher. Well... that's what you get, playing a Gatekeeper-Deck. Regarding the importance of Tamer removal, I am thinking of maxing out the Grankuwaga Ace....

Me too, but I think the only way it could be a tier higher is by being a bit more aggressive whilst still keeping its control strength, gonna be testing some more builds to see if I can find a list that fills out both requirements. I think at 3 Grankuwaga is really good! You'll see it enough is really the case for it but Gran can be a problem card too sadly, being an affected digimon amongst a bunch of unaffected makes it even more of a target than he already is as an ace 😭

They definitely eat up a lot of space. Just unsuspend and bounce have always been nutty effects for a long time now. I didn't realise also that Nume still has relevance even with the hits in the meta at the moment, not sure if it would land top five but it's still got gas to it

How could the Shinegrey Ace delete Magana X? With b/r Vee + Demi he was at 16k DP and Shinegrey can only give -15k with 3 Tamer on Board? The Rapid X -dp shouldn't be active anymore with Shine ace over it.

@@D.EN.A ive been in many a judge meeting where we've talked about the jp players and judges don't play by the same rules everyone else does and their judge system is also not great. been reports of tournaments where "judges" don't even know how to play the game they just read cards and wing it.

YEA that was one of the first iterations of this deck but it's kind of annoying to pay 4 to just play out a tamer and maaaaybe snipe something small on board. (would be good for wide boards) But then unfortunately you're either by getting off it's on deletion cause you have to or going x over the top which feels kinda poos when your goal was almost to lose that stack. Hard to explain but if you wanted to I'd just run it at 2, go down to 3 x anti cherubi maybe but up to you!

@D.EN.A i think its definitely an interesting tech because if you are hurting from it you can potentially blast over with cherubi ace before getting the cherub X. I may do some tests with cards that self delete or maybe an alice to reduce digi cost

shadow serapimon's trait is Seraph which by the game rullings they consider it an angel...so dominimon can protect your shadow seraphimon if you want to

I actually went down a rabbit hole with a mate of mine because I saw this comment and I wanted so badly for it to be true but unfortunately despite it being a translation ruling that you are correct on, because Domini asks for " with the [angel] trait" and not "[angel] trait in its name" it's asking exactly for angel 😭. If it were angel in its traits it would allow for other translated versions of angel like throne and cherubi too but unfortunately not sadly

12:54 Interesting thing about 'can't be deleted by opponent's effects' and lilithmon. Lilithmon gives your digimon end of turn delete self. Lilithmon and thus the opponent isn't deleting it. you the player are deleting your own digimon, so any protection effects that are exempt from own effects don't trigger off of it. (like Partition)

Was watching the vid and let me try and help to explain the Ouryu deletion, from my understanding - he gains the effect "can't be deleted by opponents effects" what lilith does is give your own digimon "at the end of turn delete this digimon" so it's no a deletion effect done by your opponent and the deletion is actually made by Ouryu itself with the effect given - hope I could help

I don’t think the amount of brain power needed to consistently pilot the deck was talked about enough. You really need to know exactly what your security has and when to do certain actions in order maximize the value of every card. If you don’t you will probably lose way more than you win Edit: Great video though

first of all: curse you for encouraging people to play control. may be your bricks be plentiful and your patas always whiff. secondly, great video as always! the in-depth yapping about the utility of different cards and your mentality going into different matchups is really useful, even for someone who doesn't plan to play the deck. i appreciate the honesty about the accessibility (or lack thereof) of the deck too

@@D.EN.A 33 draws??? that's insane bro, i had no idea :0 control might have been part of the issue, but i think the game is just getting more complex in general. the existence of ACEs alone adds a lot more to think about on your turn. i can't think of any particular changes! the timestamps and being able to pause to read the card image on screen are enough for me

You dont have to play out digimon for Dominimon to give -7000dp. Just like cherubimon ace. What are your thoughts on the Seraphimon ace? Im trying 3x and with the same egg it actually doesnt feel half as bad. Granted it does make your security count matter which is annoying but with 5lvl recovery angels, the option and SEC angemon it seems doable. My version is far more defensive then id like to and seems like its more good at breaking opponents will to fight then their security but besides the +1sec seraphimon i cannot think of any way to make it more aggressive without losing the current strong defensive foundation.

I've not actually given seraphi ace a shot only for the fact that we still need to be able to win in time haha, so focusing a little heavier on making sure despite having a lot of good removal we also have some heavy hitting aggression was important to me. If your entire goal is just to break your opponents spirit I'd be running the seraphi ace and revelations of light just to really fuck with em
