The frontman was very inspired by the fact that there is eternal silence outside our planet. Johannes also mentioned that this song expresses the main idea of the album - the cyberpunk future, which the band Fear Factory warned about 30 years ago. And in the clip there is a typical Avatar theme of fighting inner demons. Polaroids are just a brilliant idea!😘Johannes filmed it at home (by night in park XD with his wife as camera woman) in Finland in April, by the way. Band performance filmed in March before ride in Russia in 2020. Scream SILENCE was recorded at the final concert of the Avatar Country tour in San Francisco on October 4, 2019. “Initially we did an entirely different music video [for ‘Silence In The Age Of Apes’] but we had this idea that in hindsight is scary how well it fits with what is happening this year due to the pandemic,” Eckerström explains. “It would confront us with the reason if we had two weeks left to live. Two minutes you would call your mom, two years you carry on as normal, but two weeks? That’s a good question. We did a whole story with actors who dealt this in different ways [the imminent end of the world], but when it came to editing it wasn’t strong enough. We started over when the pandemic hit and since I live in Finland and the other guys are in Sweden I had to invent something at home. We had to re-film the entire thing and I had to do my part from my house. We have a really cool part that I’m singing through these polaroids and we would not have come up with that if we were together. I do not hate things with strict limitations. It pushes your creative boundaries.” Yeр, unlike the Colossus, they had to reshoot the meaning part, whereas in the Colossus - the performance of the band like the holograms. Main riff wait for use kinda about 20 years, since first Avatar days. By the way, rejected clip idea turned into On the Beach song! From Dance Devil Dance album 2023. Based on self-titled novel by Nevil Shute. Last months of few humankind in nuclear apocalypse.

Well, the guy was usual size, cyborg lady is colossal. The song about it, I suppose. In the clip, an experiment is performed to increase the effectiveness of the cyborg's work by spurring the organic part of the brain. She was forced to come up with a new thing. Or I'm stupid and I can't figure out how to assemble these things together. Unlike the plot of the clip, when listening to it, I see a completely free laboratory creature (possibly as a result of an uprising) asking from its creator already as an equal. Now time for interested facts! You already know, in the song have cameo of Corey Taylor - "Colossus arise" growling. He also whistles in А Secret Door and helped finish the Wormhole lyrics (pre-chorus). Opening speech was inspired by old Twilight Zone series. But narrator voice of Johannes fully open in Feathers & Flesh (In His Own Words) 2017. First name of the song was Gilgamesh. The Gilgamesh Project was to build a fully functional human brain inside a computer. Who is aware of himself, and therefore considers himself a person. Very creepy. From the book by Yuval Noah Harari Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind. Drummer John and vocalist Johannes read it and very inspired.Song name Colossus was idea of the bassist Henrik. Also reference to Colossus of Rhodes. I remembered an interesting fact. Have you noticed that the hologram platform is located in an abandoned building? So, one dude in 2019 created an installation of solar-powered mp3 players that continuously play Toto - Africa in the Namib desert. It's still there. There is something sad about it.

Maybe you should listen to new songs or at least pretend to listen to dir en grey for the first time, the same way you both were bobbing and moving your head the the literal rhythm to the song speaks loudly...and honestly annoyingly dumb most want to see others who never seen this not just others who pretend to not see it just for views, ive seen others who get introduced to this song and you both definitely don't have those qualities

The song itself is about Courtney fantasizing about killing her depression. The line about the chemicals can be taken one of two ways. 1) Referring to the chemical imbalance involved in depression. 2) Being in a toxic relationship with a person. Either way, they are both toxic situations to be in.

The angelic oooooooo followed by that OH is my fave. The meaning behind this song make this video make way more sense. You get tnit spot on.Love there is a hell album. The driver is Oli, basically driving blind cos he doesn't know where hes going in life. And all the people chasing him, drug dealer, leeches. His ketamine addiction. Have tou Heard their newer simg AmEN? That's the closest to their roots theyve gotten and their next song is going to be insane heavy after hearing their snippet. I live all their style's and live when they randomly bring out a heavy song. Makes it all the more worth it somehow

it's her husband that has passed some time ago. the heaviness at the end is her in the last stages of her disease. her passing away is shown by the change to softer music and shown by her reuniting with her husband that's passed and she's realizing that she has passed away.
