This reminds me how I found a taco bell stuck in the 90s in like 2017. But of course within a couple years it got a re-model...

You know what I’d like to see, Target putting up led neon, that is technically led, but the diodes are put inside a tube to give off that retro neon aesthetic, without the risk of poisonous gas in case it breaks. In addition, I’d like to see the color of the lighting gradually fade through the color wheel as it goes around the store. That way, we can see colors that have yet to be seen in Target’s neon lighting, such as purple, as it fades between red and blue.

I have 2 Skil Saw's, 1 from Sears Robuck, 1 from Kmart. Both work better than the new one's.

Jacob Scesney the sax dude, I love his jazz phrasing flying off into hyperspace at the end of Crystalline. The original track on the album was good but this live cut is mindboggling. On Vampires, he sets the damn room on fire with his playing.

It’s lame how they wanna make it look different and not for the better, they wanna make it less fun to go to just like Walmart when it used to have fishes lobsters game displays an arcade and even a McDonald’s instead of subway

the target near me looked the same as it did in the 2000s (besides replacing the area you eat at with a starbucks) when i moved back and they only removed the neon lights recently

Sad that Sears went under. I worked for Sears for 30 years. They had too many in corporate office that put them under. They wouldnt change with the times.

For the longest time Target would always remodel their urban stores and never touch their rural stores.

I feel like part of me remembers the neon piping running the length of the store but that was years ago and the store was remodeled. It's one of those memories you feel like you experienced but it was when you were young and now it's just a distant thought.

i used to work at SEARS in Toronto, about 18 years ago. I did merchandising in Hardware, paint, water/air, garden, toys, Christmas, seasonal, sporting goods. Basically it was my job to make a quarter of the store look beautiful. My customers loved me. They would always ask me what was new for Christmas time. I still have a bunch of signs and things with the SEARS logo on them. I also have 200 paper cups from Kmart with the Kmart logo on them. I wonder what each cup is worth? Here i a video of somebody walking through a SEARS in Toledo. I believe that it is the store in your video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6vUe6ybj99mgLc

My sears wasn’t this one but it was another location near this one in a mall next door to elder beerman, in a mall that used to have tons of people shopping and full of stores but now has only a shoe store at the end of the mall keeping it going. The sears didn’t last too long after elder beerman went out. I remember going to the location you were at a few times and brought back memories, thank you for this

With a "Target stuck in the late 80's" title, you'd better have Jennifer Connelly in the video somewhere! 😍 Just a shame you didn't show her on the mechanical ride. That "Prestige" worker at 1:09 is part of the cleaning crew. I guess the company has a big contract with Target because they clean the store where I used to work at in Texas. *Jennifer Connelly cameos:* 4:26 5:16 6:21
