Question once you buy raw chicken & freeze it how long would you think its ok to eat still. Weeks, months etc

I am going to add Taco Soup to my meal plan. I think I will pre-brown the ground beef onion mixture and dump the canned beans, corn into gallon freezer bag, add taco seasoning, and freeze. I will pop into crock pot and then add the diced tomatoes and tomato juice. It will make a great freezer meal. Thanks for the idea. It will be a great help in the near future

It’s completely understandable .. emotions run high. I have really bad anxiety I live in Houston Texas so we just had a straight win in May and the hurricane Beryl.. And I was fortunate as well. I live real close to the downtown Houston so we lost power for three hours when people are around here we’re losing power for 10 days. It was really crazy but I am I guess I don’t wanna say I’m a prepper, but maybe I am because I do try to prepare for things. The reason why is cause my husband is very ill and my father-in-law. It’s just us so I tried to buy enough so I don’t run to the stores And then the hurricane Beryl came so we just stayed home we lock our gates. We stay , we do shelf stable milk to bake ,I have gas to cook with Many prayers to all that was affected 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Yes great tip about the chicken cooking in the crackpot. I totally agree. I started doing this myself a few months ago and I cook up a batch of chicken in the crackpot then I shred it up and then separate it into portions and freeze. This way, I have chicken ready for meals for the month or so. I also do this with beef. I use a big chuck roast and do the same.

Jennifer, if you put two or three toothpicks in your mouth when cutting an onion, you will not have a reaction I promise you it works every time

I had some cranberry sauce yesterday with a roast chicken. I thought of you. I am sure my canned cranberry sauce wasn't as good as yours.

Taco soup is one of my favorite soups and it always seems to taste better the next day. I've loved seeing all the soups in the Souptember collab. Glad you got some cooler weather for the early harvest and the crop looked so pretty. Your sourdough came out pretty and having it disappear so quickly is a testament to how delicious it was. Scoring the sourdough really needs a razor blade and you kinda cut it sideways. A knife is just not thin or sharp enough. It doesn’t effect the taste though

I can’t imagine how beautiful those cranberries are in person. Have you ever thought about doing a farm to table dinner and farm tour? You could sale tickets for a 3 course meal. All courses featuring your cranberries. You could have an educational tour on farming cranberries as well.

Out of curiosity, how do the cranberries at the bottom of the trailer survive the weight of the cranberries on top? Are they hard enough that they don't get crushed? Or are the berries so light that it doesn't matter?

Hi Jennifer and sweet family! Your hair looks beautiful Jennifer. Chef Joe and your sweet smiling face, you make me smile. Maria has a lot of reading ahead if she is reading the Harry Potter series. Taco soup is a favorite of mine and it’s delicious. Peter is really growing up fast. My brother was just baptized yesterday and my mother is 84 years old and it was a very happy day for her. It’s hard for her to get around, but she said I can’t miss this time in his life and came to church to watch my uncle who is a pastor baptize him. We can lead our children in the right direction and pray that they stay on that path with our Lord and Savior. I hope everyone has a very blessed night and week!
