Brad, great lesson. Have you considered doing another video of the remaining George licks in this amazing song? I've attempted to learn it using Guitar Pro tabs but the phrasing part is what you did so exceptionally well in this video. Thanks!

Very helpful! I just picked up guitar as a hobby for the first time a few days ago just completely blind. I initially knew about having to build callouses on your fingers, but didn’t know how to do it. I just subbed and I’ll be watching some more of your vids to help me learn! :))

Been learning for 2 years on 10s and fingers still hurt after time and struggle with sound quality and can't bend. Main concern was breaking strings. I have changed them once as rusting. This helps big time thank you.

What is interesting is that I am left-handed, learning on a right-handed guitar and most of my dexterity is in my right had from playing the piano. Which I was told was great for picking. I think you are fantastic and I have been playing seriously since March of 24. Long way to go and I appreciate your video. I still can't do 4 fingers. At any point do you leave all 4 fingers on the fret? Finger yoga to me!

Well intentioned it seems but pretty useless to decipher- just as he said- where to start Which note follows which. I read music and it would have be helpful to show a scale step by step. For the most part just as useless as most of the so called "explanations" on the internet.
@SimpleGuitarDotCom11 күн бұрын
You start with the lowest note on the lowest string, then go to the next note on that string and so on, then you go to the lowest note on the next string and follow the same process.

@@SimpleGuitarDotCom Thanks for taking the time to reply. I am pretty new to the guitar but have a background in classical piano. I can see the use of tablature but when someone gives me a diagram of a fretboard covered with dots I am inclined to say- are you kidding me?! Learn to read music. My son started piano a little over a year ago and already he can read standard musical notation. He's 6 years old. I could just see him dealing with little dots on a drawing of a piano keyboard. Crazy. Well in any case the mystery is solved. I don't get that material given to me very often and in the past I just discarded it but I suppose I can file it under not looked at very often. Thanks, Bill

i actually really enjoyed this video. i recently got GP again the last one being GP3 or mabe 4 and although i used to be able to use i quite efficiently and read or create music, now with all the new feature and having not been writing music there is a lot i need to learn and re-learn. i liked that after you showed a regular tab off the net, like you said even though it might not be 100% it's deffo good enough to pass. then to show your were very intricate in comparison, as it was your own project. it showed lot more focus of pick tech and stroke and more emphasis on note duration and ring. lol it was good to see what was actually possible compared to what you would normally see on GP. you should try do something on that. like take a standard DL file and make it as perfect as poss. that would defo be a good watch!

Im a bassist and never learned how to read the bass clef sheet music. I know how to read and write out tabs though. What i use gp8 for is writing out exercises in tab then taking it away to see the sheet music. I then play it back and follow along with the backing track.
