When you pack anything to ring on a flight is that to check the web site or the TSA check list . There are certain things that you can bring on the airlines when it comes to food or things in spray bottles.

I used to purge and sometimes still do it’s a long process for recovery and something I will have to deal with the rest of my life but even a small change or different reaction to handling a situation is a big achievement and you are not alone I only made a change when I fell pregnant and still suffer not as extreme but my choices are much different then when I was not. My thoughts and prayers for you ❤

Thank you for this! It's really important info, I learned many of the things you described the hard way - by going on extreme diets (Keto, OMPD, or even water fast for 3 to 5 days) - I lost the targeted weight, but I didn't feel good. My body wasn't really shaped, but rather soft and saggy, and in the months after reaching my "goals" - I started to uncontrollably binge, like I did never in my life, I couldn't controll myself around food AT ALL. I ate so much sugars and unhealthy fats, and never even stopped nibbling on at least something. 4-5 Meals per day, easy. Felt aweful and sedated, formed the beginnings of a bulemia habit - and all of a sudden saw the madness I created myself. Then I started to not fight the binge urges with restriction, but with regular 3 meals. So my body had to relearn that food is not in shortage, there is no hoarding needed - and then I could slowly start to make what I eat more healthy and balanced. It was a terrible time. I gained weight before. But starting the regular (but still rather unhealthy) meals I gained so so much more. And I had to fight many battles, and was soo close to starting any kind of diet again. But I wanted permanent, longterm, forever healing; not again a quick fix, for which I'd pay dearly. So I focused on the exercise and tried to make my peace with the weight gain. Better more weight but healthy, than less weight and less health. Slowly I noticed the urges becoming smaller. I could finally be happy with fruit over processed sweets. I learned to love the taste of fresh food more and more again, and in not giving myself any hard limits, I learned to manage myself a little better. So now I'm at a place, where my overall health is getting better, I'm getting stronger and more of a life force again and I'm losing some excess weight again. This time its extremly slow paced - but right. And with no restrictions. Sorry, wrote an essay. But I'm entirely thankful for videos like this. Their message is so true.

@@binge.nutritionist And as a recovering binge eater, as someone who destroyed their gallbladder from a binge and had to have it removed, and as someone who lost 130 lbs on his own in just 18 months, telling recovering binge eaters to "Eat them! Eat them! Eat them!" is the worst advice you could possibly give. I assume you tell recovering alcoholics to "Chug! Chug! Chug!" too.
@binge.nutritionist

@@DerMeisterEdits It's not just about eating them, but normalizing them. We know (through literature but also through client cases and my own lived experiences) that restriction further fuels binge eating. Alcohol and food behaviors are different, because we need food to survive so we can't abstain from eating. If your method is working for you, that is FANTASTIC! woo! but unfortunately further restriction further perpetuates binge eating for many others.

Normalize binge foods. Breaking the restrict/binge cycle. Healing what's underneath the binge whether that's physical, mental, or psychological factors. Instead of just trying to avoid bingeing, we address why the urges are there in the first place.@@DerMeisterEdits
