I agree, it's not nearly as nice looking as the OEM seat. I know a few people who loved the OEM seat on their bike but didn't find it comfortable enough for longer rides. They got some gel inserts put in it by an upholsterer. They all say problem solved - and got to have their cake and eat it too. You can always give it a try since you kept the original seat - and it's a lot cheaper than buying an expensive new seat!

Corbin has got some of the absolute WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE of any shop I’ve ever dealt with! Those girls that work there are about as useless as you can get. My Corbin solo seat on my 2014 Fatboy is hard as hell. Any more than 3 hours and my ass aches. It’s got 4,000 miles on it now and there is no “breaking it in”. The leather shows wear but that seat is still rock hard. Even if they made the most comfy seat on the planet…. I would never deal with this company again.
@OkieTwister662 ай бұрын
Man, I really hate to hear this. I have had two Corbin seats and have always gotten good service from them. As for the seats' comfort, I could not be more pleased. No, they are not soft and cushy, but they are firm and provide much better support and even distribution of weight. The seats that I have replaced with Corbin were both awful after about 30 minutes. After an hour, they were unbearable. If I can get four hours of comfort, then that's a good thing in my book. I am happy with my choice. Corbin service... I think you are the second person who has mentioned a poor experience with them. That's not a good thing for any company, especially one who is considered to have a premium product and a price tag that reflects it. Every customer should be handled with care. Maybe it is a sign of the times. It seems service in every part of life has deteriorated these days. It seems people these days don't give a crap. Again,, I'm sad you had a bad experience... I totally get it. Thanks for the comment and for watching 🤙

@@OkieTwister66 I think their service is dependant on whether the seat is ordered online or purchased at their shop. Seems that folks who go to their shop always leave happy. I live in Canada and I can tell you this, the minute your seat is paid for and leaves their shop…. the service stops!

Quick question if you know regarding oil filter - I want to change the oil this week, first time. Getting my tools together. I’ve seen oil filter wrenches at Lowe’s in 65mm x 14 and 73mm x 14… do you know the size of the Polaris oil filter for the Scout (part number 2520799)? I went to Polaris’ page, but it doesn’t list it. I searched online, couldn’t find it. Thank you.

Just bought basically the same bike as you have, 2021 gray Bobber Twenty, with 6500 miles on it. Took a risk because I got a good price from the dealer. Ridden it about 9 times in two weeks. Today I rode 11mi, got the bike on my driveway, got off and left it in neutral to get my house key, then I hear the fan go on (haven’t heard this in my prior 8 rides) and check engine light was on. Didn’t get the code. A neighbor came over and said the bike felt hot. I’m hoping it’s a battery, but I’m pissed. I emailed a video to the dealer and wrote to them telling them I need this resolved ASAP. They never gave me a history of ownership. I rolled the dice. What would you do in this case? Let them fix it? Ask for a refund? My gut tells me they got it from an auction, didn’t know the bike history, and I may have a bad motor. Not sure if it’s “tight” as it should be.
@OkieTwister663 ай бұрын
First thing I would do is cycle the bike, off then on, ride a few feet, shut everything off and do this 3 times. In theory it should clear the engine light. Then ride and see if the light comes back. If it does do not turn the bike off. You should be able to toggle and see the code. Note it, look it up. The code in my video was unable to be researched easily but after speaking to the dealership we felt it may be battery related, got a bew duracel and had no other issues. I can't remember the code but it is in the video. If you see that code it is mostlikely the battery. Check yours but a good voltage reading and a full charge I not enough. Take it to batteries plus or auto zone or someplace who can do a load test. Mine was only 9 months old and was already bad even though I kept it on battery Tender and it showed a full charge with proper voltage. It needed a load test. As for the fan, mine came on often especially when the weather started to warm. It was not an issue for me. If you just finished a ride and then left it running while getting keys etc it does not surprise me the fan came on but I am not an expert. I assume it probably has no warranty from the seller but your concerns are totally justified. I would try to work with them and see how they may be able to help. Toss of the dice. If it were me, the first thing I would do is pull the battery and have somebody do rhe load test. It may be the source of your engine light and a new battery may do the trick. Scout batteries are notorious for failing early in life. Not all, but many. If the battery load test passes, I am at a loss and would probably have a professional diagnose it. Yep, costs money, ugh. Please let me know what happens. Inam curious and hope everything works out. The Scout is a great bike. Hopefully your issue is simple and easy to resolve. Thanks for the comment and for watching 🤙

Perhaps my anxiousness over a possible dud overwhelms me at the moment… I went out to check the oil. Only had the motorcycle two weeks. First time I’ve checked the oil myself, as I wrongly assumed that the dealer would at least top off oil… looks low and dirty. After watching your video, I was successful in clearing the light. Rode it around the block. I left it running in neutral to try to reproduce the check engine light, but it didn’t. I’ve already emailed the dealer regarding my concerns and the low and dirty oil (attached videos as evidence in case this gets out of hand). I requested a documented service test as “assurance,” since the light came on under their 30-day warranty period. I know they don’t do time consuming and costly testing like that on used bikes. I’ll let you know how this turns out, and hope it’s a negligible issue. I’ll probably change the oil myself ASAP, but they should have done it. Thank you very much for sharing this video and info about the battery. Hoping it’s just that. Thanks brother!! I’ll save this video and follow up here in the next couple weeks.
