Started on the Rebel 300 . Now have 1100T and love the DCT and cruise. Heritage wasn’t a favorite of mine at first. Was a fan of the Street Bob but the Heritage grew on me and was a comfortable bike to sit on. Haven’t demoed it because I will probably pull the trigger. Between that and FXLRST (music may seal the deal- unless I can find some decent setup for the Heritage). Plus I love the big front lighting on the Heritage. Wanna go blacked out also. Nice seeing the Heritage get some love.

I really loved my Heritage. I also had a Scout, and a Rebel 500. Loved them all for different reasons. Currently my heart belongs to my Fat Boy 🙂 Thanks for the comment and for watching!

The seat on the Heritage is quite comfortable as you said. The seat on the Fatboy is a bit stiffer. Was it the looks of the red fade anniversary Fatboy that you just couldn't resist? If so, I understand. Thanks for that good review of the Heritage.

Yeah, the Heritage seat is pretty good as far as stock seats go. And you are right about the Fat Boy seat being a little less comfortable. After an hour or so I really need to get off the bike. And yes, the red fade paint was a major part, among other things, on my decision to buy the Fat Boy. I have not regretted it. My regret in the video was that I screwed up and didn't video my test ride! Stay tuned as I will be doing a video soon on the Fat Boy seat and my solution! Thanks for the comment and for watching 🤙

6:52 The windshield is the only thing I don't like about the Heritage Classic. I personally think it is ugly. Nice thing is, there are plenty of custom windshields available to replace it with.

I'm not a huge fan if how the windshield looks either. Thanks for the comment and for watching 🤙

Hi I got a problem I bought a 2023 fatboy and the simple answer is that I am afraid to ride it. I am so worried about the corners I am afraid I will dump it. I wrote you before I am 5’7” . The guy at the Harley store said I should of gotten the street bob because it’s skinny in the middle the fat boy seat is wide. But the thing is I put a lot of investment in this bike. If I went for the street bob I would be losing over $15,000 . I have ridden only 2 bikes in my life a 2003 Suzuki intruder and a 2008 victory 8-ball which was 100 ci. The rest of the time I bought and rode maxi scooters. I can drive bikes but am hesitant on my first run. My wife said she would ride behind me so that no other cars would interfere. Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated

First advice is I would try not to take a $15k hit and settle for a bike that is not your first choice. It has basically the same engine as the street bob. They are about the same weight and seat height. Don't get to psychd out over the tires. This is not your first bike. You can do this. I was a little nervous before I actually rode it. After a few miles i learned it was not worth the nervousness i had. Just take it slow and easy. Take it to an empty parking lot when there is very little traffic out. Early mornings maybe. Get some practice in. Start with wide circles and gradually decrease the radius. My biggest learning thing was always right hand turns from a stop. I tended to go wide which could put me into oncoming traffic. To this day I still remember what my riding coach taught me about turns... look and point your chin where you want the bike to be once you complete the turn. Do not look at the center line. You will drift towards it. Look through the turn and keep your head pointing to where you want to be. My first ride was a little weird the first couple of blocks. But soon it became easier when I realized it was not that big a deal. After a 20 minute test ride I was convinced that I wanted one and bought one a few short weeks later. After 2 or 3 decent rides it was as if I had been riding it for years. If you are concerned about dropping it, get yourself an engine guard. They are not too expensive and really do work at low speed and are not too difficult to install. Once you are rolling at speed the bike will be very easy to handle. Just take your turns a little slower and you will adapt. I really hope this helps. It would be a shame to not go with that bike. Really, the Fat tire is not as bad as it is intimidating in the beginning. Please keep in touch. I really want to know how it all works out. Just remember the basics, take it slow at first and you will soon be rocking that Fat Boy. 🤙

Also.. I am 5-7" too. With short legs. I wear Harley riding boots that have a thick heel and I can easily flat foot the Fat Boy.

Put an engine guard on that bitch and get out there and ride. Bring it to a parking lot and get comfortable. Slow speed is way harder than just riding on the street so once you get parking lots down you’ll be ready for anything.
