I am coming to understand that God works on us in different ways, little steps a lot of times, as we start to change our habits, the things we use to do start to diminish more and more, and we find ourselves becoming more focused on certain areas of our life instead of trying to focus on everything wrong with us at once. Learning how to be patient, asking the Lord for guidance each day, asking him to help bring all your thoughts into captivity every morning and for his strength to help you overcome the temptations that will creep up on you. Maybe you are trying to overcome lustful thoughts and desire, or sexual gratification (masturbation) or you have an addiction to porn or movies with a lot of violence and sexual content, or even a video game addiction (like I have struggled with), or even wanting to stop eating and snacking all the time so you can lose weight and get healthy again. Whatever your bag of addictions and problems are, God will help you overcome each of them if you will let him. It doesn't happen overnight, and it requires us to do our part, to make a real effort to get up in the early morning so we can go for a walk, or to workout, then up to us on choosing to eat food and see food as fuel instead of comfort. Maybe you need to set up parental lock on your phone for yourself to not be tempted to go to the many various porn / sexual explicit websites that plague our internet today. When we fall into sin, repent and ask the Lord to help you identify those triggers, such as what were you watching or thinking or doing prior to feeling that temptation grab hold of you. Ask the Lord to help you overcome these triggers and even consider confiding in your pastor or church elder for help and support. When we humble ourselves and realize we cannot overcome temptation on our own, we can gain strength through Christ who went through the same temptations we did, and yet he overcame the world and gives us eternal life as a FREE gift if we will repent and follow him. Take it one day at a time and never stop asking the Lord to guide you every day, while giving thanks for all that he has given you, and every time you overcome a temptation, give glory and praise to God for his faithfulness in that, he will never let you be tempted beyond what you can handle and will always make a way of escape, but you have to be willing to choose to take it.

Salvation is through the redemptive work of Christ alone and faith alone, plus nothing. Repentance is changing from unbelief to belief. This is false teaching to keep you in the guilt/fear cycle and make you doubt your salvation. Put your faith 100% in Jesus and you are saved. 1 Cor 15:1-4

But remember, Christ's shed blood at the cross was only a "demonstration", and not the actual payment for sin. That payment was made before the world began. The word "commended" in Rom 5:8, is the word "demonstrated." The Cross was a demonstration! It also was for the purpose of Binding the Strong Man."...Satan! Mark 3:22-30, Matt 12:29. Washer said everything right up to the point when he said we have to repent. He, and many, many bible teachers don't understand that an unsaved person is an enemy of God. That's all of us before God saves. Defiled in every part of our being! Before salvation, our repentance, or faith is a "flesh and blood" repentance, and faith, and it could NEVER please God. When God says. "Without Faith It Is Impossible To Please Him" , Heb 11:6, he is speaking of the faith of Christ which MUST be imputed to us, not our faith. As an unsaved person, we have no faith. Faith has to be given to us as a gift. Eph 2:8. And God only gives that particular gift to his Elect. The rest, God has NO intention in saving, so they will NEVER be able to repent in a way that's pleasing to God. They will never have a faith pleasing to God! I just wish these Pastors understood that. They never did! Use use Paul as an example of salvation? Don't you know It took Jesus to make the first move to change Saul into Paul. Paul wasn't seeking Jesus, Jesus seeked Paul, just like anyone that's saved. God has to make the first move to change you if you're saved. On your own, you would never make a move towards righteousness. You are unrighteous. And still, so many don't get it.

It is terrifying...I'm going through that right now in my seeking closeness with God through Christ as I lean upon the power of the Spirit of God, by His Grace to reveal more and more of my wretchedness that haunts my every step. I am like a frightened puppy who has been put on the streets...then another level of His Goodness captures me , which I fight against up to the very moment that I come to know that im being continuously and curiously loved through His care ....but upon that realization, I in my mind's eye, sees with so much clarity that I am a part of the greatest image I never thought I could imagine. So I probe ahead and I see myself chasing after wrought understanding as to how is it that I am allowed to come so close to Love and true Life, which is a complete shock to my very being. Now I know why Paul said, wretched man that I am...I can hardly contain the brokenness of my journey back to Him. I feel all the scorn I threw at Him and now to truly look at Him is gonna cost me for little while. Oh everyone pray for me as I delve into John 17. ❤🙏 And one last thing that's also been popping into my mind, that is, I wonder if GOD ALMIGHTY had humble beginnings?❤❤❤

No where in the Bible does it says repent of your sins to be saved! The book of Romans speaks so clearly of the curse under the Law and trying to leave by the Law you nullify the work of the cross-making Jesus's sacrifice worthless. Paul's struggle with the flesh in Romans 7, and understanding the curse of the Law in Galatians 3, Romans 3 speaks volumes on this seems to be always ignored when being preached on the life of a saved person that if we are not leaving a sinless perfection life are made to fill guilty and less of a Christian and that you can lose your salvation, BUT "there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ" Romans 8:1. Jesus said you need to be like a little child to enter the gates of heaven Matt 18:2-5, meaning trusting in your heavenly Father just like a Child trust in his worldly Father for everything for the very survival of life how much more our Heavenly Father will do the same, God only wants our Faith, trust and belief in him not our works or..."self-righteousness which are filthy rags", Isaiah 64:6 Christ alone, the greatest work was done on the cross we are dead to sin it's our choice to walk in the flesh or spirit each day our new self (Holy Spirit) cannot sin it's done onetime event past, present and FUTURE...It's finished John 19:30, Satan's lie is to muddy the waters on the simple Gospel message to Christians and non-Christians which is Grace plus.
