If it’s not doing much with its reaction anyway, I could see a mummy lord using Absorb Elements to patch up its fire weakness. Not actually a cleric spell, but you can handwave it.

This video just covers what a player needs to understand with the hide action. For the Slashing, Piercing, and Bludgeoning damage resistance what do you think of flipping the script and making it resistant to Magical Weapons but, not to non-magical ones? The justification could be tied to its innate magic resistance or some such.

There are some genuinely baffling weaknesses in the original Balor stats, especially its weakness to ranged characters and the fact that it only makes two attacks. I think you did a good job boosting this thing up.

@@MyRegularNameWasTaken Thank you. I agree. I think giving the Balor ranged attacks would have broken the narrative, but at least the teleport ability should make up for no ranged attacks.

Went with Dragon Heist to introduce my players to the game first, now going to be running Strahd for Halloween since they're all now asking to try it. Stoked to dive back into your videos on this. They were very inspiring for me getting back into dming.
