Just standing here I’m a big fan of the Miami Dolphins I have been for 20 years my question is why did they lose that Arizona Cardinals game they should’ve won they had it in the bag but they lost it on my question is why why did they lose that game when they could’ve won it I mean somethings up and I feel it’s Chris Greer‘s fault because he’s not giving Miami the proper weapons they need to win you know so with that being said I just feel that they need new management they need a fresh set of eyes to look at the dolphins and get them back to winning potential so here’s my here’s my suggestion what about Bill Weber check when he put the Dolphins in the winning percentage I mean the man’s got over 300 wins

Not with Johnson, Bernard, and Rapp out there; Tua had too many picked off by them last game. The Buffalo pass rush and pressure will be lethal unless receivers can separate quickly so that Tua can get rid of it fast. Think Miami should stick to the run game.

@Stockhandle12321 сағат бұрын
@ you said you should bet on your defense and punt from midfield. I just don't understand why you would do that? Josh will Go 50 yards to score a touchdown or he'll go 90 yards to score a touchdown like he did on the drive right before the drive you're talking about. The drive right before the Dolphins went for it on fourth down at midfield the bills! went 85 yards and scored a touchdown. Im sure that was on mike's mind. I like the aggressive play calling. I guess my question for you is every bills! fan would want the bills! to go for it there but is it because we have Josh Allen and you want to punt because your team has tua instead?
@LockedOnDolphins20 сағат бұрын
@@Stockhandle123 Is it mathematically harder to go 50 yards or 85 yards? And to use your own logic Miami is 2/15 on 4th downs this year and 13/40 since the start of 2023. That isn't a historically good bet to place for a good result either. I'm not sure if you took that as a slight against Josh or what but it's just the basic math of it. There's a reason why Miami's losses to Buffalo snowball and they lose by 3 touchdowns and more often than not its because Mike takes bigger risks earlier in games and it snowballs.
@Stockhandle12341 минут бұрын
@ i didn't know the dolphins with tua are historically bad on 4th down. The bills since 2020 are the best in the nfl on 4th down so it changes my perspective as a fan. Buffalo goes for it a lot on 4th down and mostly gets it. My thought process was josh does better against miami in his career than anyone and i would think you would want to keep the ball out of his hands and try to score as many points as possible. Now that is see how tua/dolphins are on 4th down i agree they should only go for it when in end of game scenarios where punting isn't an option. Later ✌️

As if this season wasn't bad enough, listening to this just magnifies the issues in the FO even more. Though, I do agree that in a vacuum of this year, more of the problems are McDaniel's than Grier's. But, as you mentioned, the timeline of the past few seasons necessitates Grier being replaced.

Is the possibility Wright isn't picking up the offense? Is struggling pick up the blitz? Is struggling making the block on a blitz? @LockedOnDolphins thanks for the hit back. Seems, like with many coaches over the years, rookies have to earn the coach's trust if they touch the ball when the team has guys pretty good ahead of them. I had a strong feeling he would be a good pro. As a Gator fan, I held my breath every time he got the ball. Maybe part of it is to showcase the 30 year old vet RB before the trade deadline? Him being the 3rd option might look bad optically. Maybe they feel they can get more in a trade if they keep him 1st string? Time will tell. Thanks again. I always watch your videos. You analyze of on and off the field things related to the team are interesting because of the depth and very good presentation.

The building of the team was always an issue when the Phins committed to drafting Tua despite his injury to his hip. That was a serious injury and we wasted draft capital to take a QB that likely could have been grabbed in the 2nd round, if not later. We wasted more draft capital getting Hill and Waddle to prop up said broken QB. Grier also invested heavily in players that had injury histories hoping that they would suddenly stop having issues. There are so many boneheaded moves that this organization has made that to argue that this team is on the right path or that they are just around the corner or oh so close is insulting to anyone that KNOWS football. Tua is not going on the road in the playoffs and winning in cold environments - not some islander who went to Bama. Tua is an NFC QB, not an AFC one. I can't see this franchise turning things around before Ross passes away - he'll be 85 when next year starts. We should had kept Flores and built from the trenches and tried to emulate the Ravens organization in building a defense/running mindset instead of continuing down the path of Marino and "high flying offenses" which are fun but dont really do too well in the playoffs.

Welcome to the club! It's been evident for a while that Grier hasn’t done a good job building the team, whether for Flores or McDaniel. He’s had hits like every GM does. But all the draft misses forced him to cover it up with FA and Ross $$$. That and giving out contracts to middling players like Jackson, Baker, Gesicki (both now gone) and others while letting better players like Wilkins, Hunt and AVG go. And worse of all, ignoring the trenches. Grier has always said he gives the coaches what they want. But like you say, someone had to be the adult in the room, especially if you are the boss. Unfortunately, Ross has owned the team for decades and has yet to make the right decision on who to lead the 🏈 operations. Who knows if he will do it now!

@@gelandres fwiw I don’t agree with all of your player departure/extension assessments. I wouldn't pay them that money either, but there has to be better internal evaluation of your personnel earlier before they hit FA.

@@gelandres my understanding of each situation is Hunt was offered a contract in-season that was 13-14M per and Hunt and his team turned it down, so they turned and offered that contract to Austin Jackson after hunt said no. The Wilkins team slammed the door shut on negotiations once the season started and they said no to a offer at 20m+ per season - both guys smartly cashed in with more money in free agency and Miami could have theoretically been more aggressive in the summer of 2023 (and 2022 for Wilkins) but in the end I do think they offered fair market contracts for both guys within the final year of their tenure. Like I said, I do think they haven’t done a good enough job but I don’t necessarily put those two player situations on their “losses” because they did try and ultimately I think both guys ended up getting crazy money.

If only Fangio didn't keep Cam Smith in the doghouse last year and instead allowed him to get reps as a rookie when we were thin at the position.... I know its mostly rumors that point to that but if there is any truth that really hurt the team. Gotta agree most of those picks have not panned out but Achane and Wright will at least be difference makers. Unfortunately its not a key position which is part of the issue. I think the Wright snap count issue is McDaniels feels some loyalty to Mostert to give him the carries that should be Wright's. I don't know how any coaches can watch Wright's plays and see how he turns nothing into something, can get skinny through the hole and not be like "He's the lead back, Achane is the change of pace and Mostert can split change of pace duties". If a dude is averaging 9 yards a carry in the first quarter I'd qualify that as a "hot hand" and work him in, lol.

Pass rush. Ive said this will be the issue with this team before phillips went down. Quote from Tom Brady "The pressure off the edges isn't what I struggle with. It's the pressure up the middle, you can't step up, you don't have clean passing lanes. Pressure off the edge is much easier to deal with" Chris Greir is just OBSESSED with the edge and always has been. Tackles and outside pass rushers, SO ANNOYING. BIG MEN who can move and are strong are the rarest type of player in the NFL. Load up on them. Guards, centers, and defensive tackles. Do this and you will be in the playoffs every single year. Doesn't matter whose behind center or running the ball or playing pass coverage.

Got to draft edge, QB, corner, tackle, and wr, early as they are the high dollar positions and having some on rookie deals allows money for other, cheaper, positions. From there, most teams can find decent mid oline, safeties, lbers, and DTs in mid rounds. You can always draft them earlier to if you feel they are that good vs what else is left in a draft. Some RB and wr talent is usually available in mid to late rounds. The only thing is, this is the dolphins and we don't draft well.
