@@vdubskiee5356 I want to do it more so for the driver feeling. Nothing beats the feeling of a manual. If you want faster shifts get xhp I’m running stage 2 and the shifts are very noticeably faster.

Take the top cover off of the headlight, to let the water evaporate from the housing. Once dry, cover the opening with tape, after putting the end to an air pump inside. Turn on the air pump and spray the headlight with soapy water until u see bubbles forming.. thats ur leak. Clean and use butyl rubber to seal the leak.

i have everything done you mentioned and im running auto with xhp. between rebuild kit and tune i could have just bought a used manual transmission because im worried this tranny aint gonna hold up i haven been to dyno but this car is an animal what you think? ride it out or swap it?

Ride it out for as long as possible. Don’t dog it crazy 6hp can hold for a while. For now either save up for swap or when it’s done you can pick up another for 300$ from a part out car I have plenty friends that did that and have been fine

@@StolenE92 the manual trans im finding locally are looking like 1,500+ so all said and done with decent clutch flywheel and other parts im looking at like 3500 give or take… my trans now is only at 78k wish i could just find a cheap totaled n55 smh

@@vdubskiee5356 your fine bro. If it gets to the point just replace the solenoids and clutches in the 6hp and also look for 335s trans they are slept on can hold a lot of torque it’s called 6hp28 or an 8hp out a f chassis too

N55 is known for rod bearing issues. They aren’t common per say but they can happen easily with owner neglect

Long overdue oil changes. Oil pan and oil pump aren’t designed the best for sharp turning either I’ve seen as well so those are possibilities as well. And they aren’t gonna happen to every n55 but it’s happened to enough and frequently enough to the point to see a pattern

i’m 16 and wanna get a 335i with 111k miles on it for 8800 and i’ve read a lot and it sounds like a lot of maintenance but not a lot of money, should i get it?

Is it n55 ? Or n54 and have they replaced high pressure fuel pump , valve cover gasket , oil filter gasket ? At 111k miles those should probably be replaced before you look into buying it make sure it’s been maintained properly.
