Thank you so much for adding in the English names of the poses as I am new to the ashtanga series. This video is the only one I could find on KZbin that actually had this feature.

If only I had access to this as a teenager! I watch the student with envy. At 62, I’ve done yoga classes twice a week for 8 years, and daily for 3 months. Daily practice has helped a lot. I will add some of these poses to my routine. Beautiful video 🙏

Hey, I am 65 now...been doing Ashtanga primary series practice off and on for roughly 20 years or so. Was glad to find this video as there are not any Ashtanga studios around to practice in anymore that I know of out here in the Seattle/Kitsap area. Though this practice is pretty intensive, the body doesn't forget how to stretch into these postures and the steady deep breathing really helps too!

Just the right video for me at this time! Thank you Clayton! I got so side tracked with the pandemic and having had to move and my Ashtanga practice got lost in the shuffle! Still there are no Ashtanga studios around these parts anymore so I am all the more grateful for this straight forward video!

I have been following your primary series for 3 weeks straight. I only take Saturday off. 2 weeks in, it cured my right shoulder pain that has been bothering me for 3 years... 60 downward dog practice throughout. Who would have thought..... Thank you. Thank you. Thank you

Thank You! I really like your pace! I have been practicing for 7 years I have osteoarthritis in my right hip. Which I have had for 10 years. This practice saved my hip, practicing 3 to 5 times week. I am losing flexibility in my hip it seem as of lately. No more lotus on that side and limited external rotation. What should I stay away from so it does not progress as fast. Namaste 🙏🏽

hi Rob, For the half lotus poses, do a modification. In the seated half lotus poses, just put your foot and ankle on the ground, not in half lotus. Also do long Baddhakonasna, cobbler's pose. Hope this helps. Also, Do some stretching movements in the swimming pool (anti gravity)

My favorite practice on youtube. I keep coming back to it every week. Your voice is so soothing, which is so needed sometimes in ashtanga. The music is top too! Would be great if there was no adds in the finishing sequence though 😅 Thank you so much for sharing this practice.

Love this.... old incredible faithful from an incredible teacher but recently it’s been infected with ads.... tried everything but it’s really hard to enjoy now... popping up every couple of minutes to skip ad.

In college, ashtanga yoga was one of the physical education credits I took and it took the class the whole semester to really get through all of it together successfully. You're doing awesome, please keep up with it! It's such an accomplishment to start the day with
