Had the same conditions in Quebec--had to escape another 20 km eastward to buy some time with advancing cloud system. Blew all my timing plans to crap, but we saw everything including telescopic views! Your time-lapse confirms that I could sense prominences MOVING.

At least you were able to get enough time to move! The day started clear for us, and I really started to doubt whether we would see it or not. That large prominence looked like a very bright orange/pink spot with the naked eye.

@@Prouisorsapientiae I turned from the eyepiece view to the sky and there was that giant prominence. At 30x it was brilliant arc white-pink. It was easily as bright as the entire corona and had to be the size of Saturn. If only I'd had an extra minute of safety to get a filter and 120x eyepiece, but I was not sure exactly when totality would end. My wish was to see a live prominence with my telescope ... and I did!

@@RideAcrossTheRiver That's awesome! If I get the chance to see another one, I'm definitely using a telescope, or at least some binoculars.

@@Prouisorsapientiae The view in the sky was awesome, but the view magnified to 30x was looking INTO the event. I was glad to have only a close relative with me at our spot. NOBODY on the roads at that moment! The last moments of totality really showed off those prominences to the naked eye. Any total eclipse is a real show, but this one had a little more! I got one perfect photo using a digital camera at the eyepiece.

Most people don't realize that once you step off that trail in the downward direction, those rocks are just marbles for you to roll and slide on... and you won't stop rolling and sliding until you've tumbled 1000 feet down that cliff... and that's the tumble that has killed 100s of hikers there. That's why the locals call Devils Backbone 'Death Cliff'. No shoes, no ropes, no picks... NOTHING can save you... you're GONE!

Great video, I have just one question. I have a friend with a 2005 where the window came down when he hit a bump, Michigan roads, and it doesn’t come back up. Now I believe that it’s a shortage somewhere, but, it we can’t find that can we just push the arm up to elevate the window so it’ll just stay up until he can buy the parts or will it drop over time?

For people struggling to get the wire harness under the dash separated, loosen the 7mm bolt first until you feel it click. If the harness plug doesn't easily pull out try using a small flat edge to get between the male plug and female receptacle to gently free them. That worked for me after fighting it for too long!

Can anyone offer help? Replaced rear driver regulator, hooked up motor to see if carrier would move up and down, since couldn't move it by hand. Then installed it, and bolted window on. Window doesn't completely close or open without gripping window with hands and helping it.... And polarity is reversed (ie, up moves it down, and visa versa)!!! Kinda disappointed. Was my new part not the correct part, or maybe somehow bad? Bought it at Autozone, it was 2nd one. First one was obviously wrong part, so took old regulator along, when buying the 2nd one. Trying to stay positive.....
