Thank you for this. It's useful to think about this stuff. I'm afraid I'm not looking for more words on this topic. Vivekananda's biography of "Ramakrishna," now THAT's a place to look, and there are some books on Ramana Maharshi that approach nondualism.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. I think you’ve really brought out much of the essence of the book. One minor point: the book was originally written in French and translated by me, Michael Sanborn. You were right to point out that the book’s original title, “La Voie des Sans Maîtres,” doesn’t exactly mean “The Way Without Masters,” but the author and I agreed that something like “The Way of the Masterless” was less idiomatic English.

You are a sick, sick man! Intentionally driving people into the poorhouse by letting them know about the amazing (and amazingly expensive in some cases) books that come out every week. HOW DARE YOU SIR!!!!!....also, is there a particular book that I can buy to help me acquire money for buying more books? There has to be something that oversees bibliophilia or tsundoku.

I can't for the life of me take planetary magick seriously. If a comet crashes into the moon and it disappears from the solar system, does the corresponding aspect of the universe cease to exist? Does a whole branch of magick suddenly become fiction? I wish someone would correct me or help me understand. Compared to everything else, planetary magick seems arbitrary and circumstantial.

Does this include anything the current course and books do not? Does this function as just a summary?

Just to add something, I saw somone showhing the drawing inside the pentagram while doing the invoking, the ones you say cn be done only on Talisman....and I liked the option to draw inside .....as we anyway draw the pentagram as well energetically. So maybe It can be done ....

You should checkout handy sigil magic by Nicholas Guillette. It uses hands and finger movements to draw energy from the elements, planets and zodiac combined with drawing sigils in the air. Its very good.

Question, we've always been told when interacting with entities to test the spirits before asking other questions and to never believe what they say without due diligence. How do you test them, or do you not? Methods that work would be greatly appreciated! Edit: Love your channel by the way, your one of the few people that got me into collecting occult works.

This looks amazing! I was literally reading Regardie’s Golden Dawn again continuing to wonder why Agrippa’s Intelligence and Spirit sigils don’t follow the Aiq Bekr and this book seems to be exactly what I’ve been looking for. Also, I’m pretty sure it’s pronounced “claw-wes een-tell-ee-gen(hard g not j)-tee-ar-oom” 🙂

Thank you! Yes the fact that another viewer asked me if a different pronunciation altogether confirms the point that because there's no audio record of Romans speaking, we can only really make "best guesses" at the pronunciation😅🙏

Can you please do a video about the 4 humors of the body!
@AlethicAvenger2 күн бұрын
the video offers advice on magical practice, but its core concepts lack empirical evidence and rely on subjective interpretations and metaphysical beliefs. while some advice, such as the importance of physical health, is practical, the video promotes practices and beliefs that have not been scientifically validated.

I hope he does a similar book on Elementals soon after this as I know that years ago he did a book on Planetary intelligences and he said on Glitch Bottle that this was sort of meant as an update to that original work , which as I remember was followed by a book on Elementals which personally I think there's simply not enough work on lately. Perhaps after that he may even do a comprehensive work on Faery magic since I know that's something of a specialty of his and once again there's not a whole lot of work being done on the practical grimore side of Faery magic and if anyone could do a sort of universal way to approach Faeries in the Grimoire tradition it would be David .

Agree 100%...spirit evocation must be brought into the 21st century, and the medieval chaff removed from the Goetic "wheat." Our computers no longer use punch cards and floppy discs, our evocations might not suffer from eliminating misspelled Greek and Hebrew, overblown geometry, and the stand up routines of Yahweh and his kid. Time for diplomacy in demonolatry, and the realization that three dimensional threats may not cause extra dimensional beings to quiver in their cloven hoof boots. (With apologies to Skinner and company, of course).

Dear Denis, thank you very so much for the review and recommendation of Dark Arts & Crafts, whose existence, if it weren't for you and your channel, I would never have known about. I finished reading it this weekend, and it was one of those books you’d never want to finish: extremely entertaining, lots of laughs and fun too! As a matter of fact, being able to write with authority about serious matters but in a light-hearted way and allowing oneself to play with the themes making fun of them is something that very few authors can properly do, like our dear and fundamental Lon Milo DuQuette. Dark Arts & Crafts is a book for beginners in witchcraft, of course, but what an honest approach! And all in a beautifully written and assembled book, with incredible photographs too! A real pleasure to read! Furthermore, the sources are all serious and reliable, and how happy I was when I got to the Bibliography section and found Hidden Paths there: I got so happy and proud of you for knowing that your book is already actively influencing the world of occultism! Anyway, thank you very, very much for this excellent recommendation!🎉🎉🎉

If you replaced magic with (entering into a hypnogogic meditative state of mind in the far low side of brain waves) I think there might be something there. But if one wants to astral travel using imagination or mind it doesn't take money. Nor can money buy that. I've never found anything useful for the term magic. Thanks for the video good sir
