Apparently.. you don’t look at history … these deals with companies.. look at the US textile industry. Numbers am you are talking about NOW can’t even touch the damage done in that time. The issues you are talking about .. the fallout .. alll old news . Come back with some other new insight or outrage .. better yet .. some idea

Unemployment is low, the stock market is high, new jobs are being added, jobs aren't being cut, wages are getting higher, gas under $2.60 a gallon here, inflation lower than ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD OR AMONG THE LOWEST..... But the economy is bad. What you mean is that price gouging and the cost of living is insane here now. Companies are reporting record profits..... That's not a 'bad economy' thing, that's not a 'the price of inputs and materials we require is so high that we have to pass the cost along' thing, that's a 'let's gouge them for every cent the have' thing. Thanks capitalism. What, did you expect them to not make literally as much money as possible? You expected them to care they're eating into the food budget of food insecure Americans? They don't, they won't, and we're cutting social assistance programs with the DOGE. I don't think we can blame this on Trump or tariffs even though companies raise prices way before any stuff like that happens. This is more the Japanese parent company can make more money making the tires somewhere else.

@@chrishales3280 You don't know shit about tariffs!
@Crmson117
@Crmson117 Күн бұрын
@@chrishales3280Tariffs are not necessarily a bad thing but the ones covering the cost are American businesses or individuals and people were lied to, being told for instance China would pay the 60% tariff but they won't, we will. You're also not considering counter-tariffs. Tariffs made the Great Depression "great" by compounding the hardship people had to live with, the tariff act in the 1930s was meant to save the economy and protect American business and producers.... Rather similar to what you just said. But it tanked the economy and sent unemployment out of the single digits sky rocketing as businesses shut down and failed. Repeating the same action and expecting a different outcome is not wise. China will impose counter-tariffs, they will be agony especially for farmers.... A majority of which voted for Trump. China is preemptively reducing the amount of soybeans required in animal feed and when American soybeans are tariffed to hell and back they simply won't buy them from us. Central America will gladly fill the demand and get paid and benefit from international trade..... Unlike American Farmers. It's supposed to protect domestic production but we don't make things here anymore. We're addicted to cheap Chinese crap. I'm a "Made in America means something, it means quality" kind of guy and I'll let you know that most things that are 'Made in America' are done so with global materials or there simply is no option made here. Musk speaks about the "Temporary hardship" Trump's policies will create but he says we as a country will be stronger on the other side..... Uh, what? People didn't know they were voting for further hardship, they thought they were voting for lower prices while electing the candidate that indirectly swore to raise nearly every single price.

I was an auto tech from 1973-1999 and it was terrible. I had a associate degree in applied sciences, ASE certified, state certified, a/c certified. Low wages, poor benefits and lousy bosses my family suffered. In 1999 I became so burned out I walked away from mechanics and never looked back. During all those years I always discouraged people from being a mechanic. Few listened but now with social media my voice is being heard. After all these years and from all that I'm reading here the field has not changed one bit. Pay attention young men. Move on!

The industry was crying about a technician shortage 20 years ago when I started my appenticship. All I saw was my hourly rate stagnate while labor times shrank, more effort from manufacturers to not pay for warrenty work completed, and more of my weekends going to the shop. How could they expect anything other than more people leaving?

an oil change takes more time u gotta remove the plastic panels before u can drain oil. then u gotta reset maintenance light and u gotta check engine air fikter cabin filter check fluid levels check brakes check suspension wiper blades check air pressure no oil change is 30 minutes unless u skip steps. inspecting the vehicles makes more money skipping ur inspection is losing u money. and it takes time to authorize work get the parts install. it takes more time. and if u find other issues u gotta get an estimate. its akot of work its nitt the 1960s

Bro I commend you on getting some automotive industry news out there along with some EV’s news, but just remember not all EV vehicles and battery manufacturing. Businesses are created equal think about that and separate losers from the winners and report on the winners and people are actually making Evies affordable sustainable and pushing the technology to the future

Cars are like iPhones now. They are high-dollar disposable goods. I have two cars of the same make and model from different eras. One is about ten years old and one from the late 80s. The newer car is better built, has a much more rigid chassis, is much quicker, handles better, and gets better gas mileage. Despite that, I cannot help but think it is on borrowed time, not from the moving parts that will wear out in time, but from the eventual failure of the completely unnecessary electronic modules. I know what having and maintaining a car for several decades is like, and I am not hopeful that I will be able to keep the newer one running indefinitely, even if the mechanical stuff is all in tip top shape. Those electronic modules that are in every corner of the thing may well be unavailable in a few decades, or they may cost a fortune, or it may be impossible to know which one(s) I need, or I may not be able to program them to actually do the thing they are meant to do. My older car, though, is a forever car. It is simple enough that I know I can keep it going indefinitely. If a switch fails, I can get a replacement part. They are simple to manufacture, and many makers of aftermarket car parts produce them. Sensors, mechanical bits, gaskets, all that stuff is available. My newer car uses those things too, and while those parts may be easy to find going forward, those dozens of unnecessary computer modules will not be something you can find in the aftermarket.
