Hi! I went during mid May, school holidays has not started yet :) if you are concerned about crowds, try to avoid travelling during chinese holidays like Labour Day, National Day etc. School summer holidays should be better but it can get very hot.

This is a old vid, but at 8:41it says "remember to bring passports along" do u only need to show them ur passport and get the tax refund? like do u get the money there and then or do u have to go to the airport? Going 2 korea next year and want to save money if i can

Hi! Yes, just show your passports and you will be eligible for tax refunds. For shops that offer immediate tax refund, the amount will be deducted directly from the purchase price. For those that don't offer immediate tax refund, you get it at the airport 14:30

hello! I just checked it, it’s not open anymore :( if you have the dianping app (大众点评）you can search 蟹粉捞饭 (crabmeat rice), there’s many restaurants that serve this dish too :)

This is a nice city! Do you know how to get to Hengqin station from Zhuhai railway stn without crossing the border? (I'm coming from Guangzhou and have single entry visa). From what I found, if taking bus route, most of them gonna cross Macau border :') so the best way is to go there by taxi..?

Hi! I briefly checked online, it seems the most direct way is to take the train directly from zhuhai railway to hengqin station. Taking taxi could be another option :)

Hi! I use Railway12306 app to buy the bullet train tickets. If you are referring to the shanghai metro, then it’s Alipay app :)

Yes, and it’s quite new, opened in 2021, I remember the view was nice from the room and a short cab ride to gongbei port if you plan on visiting macau too 😉

Hi! We bought the tickets from egymonuments.com . Do bring along a credit card with you if you plan on buying the tickets at the attractions, they only accept card payments, no cash payment..

Hi! To set up Alipay, download Alipay app, tap "sign up" to register, remember to choose international version, select the country you are from, fill in your identity information for verification. After verification is confirmed (usually within 24 hours), add in your foreign bank card (visa/master card) and it's done. Remember to activate credit card for overseas use. Then to pay in China, the merchant will scan your "PAY" code on Alipay or you can scan their QR code :) To travel around in Shanghai, we usually use the metro, cabs or didi (car-riding app). Most of the tourist attractions are close to metros :)
