Cuban is not the governor. In fact, he's all but disappeared. His job duties were given to Nico Harrison and the governor is Patrick Dumont. @@MLDBalls Ok, I've been living in Dallas for about 30 years so let me tell you my take on it. Cuban has always been a huge face of the team, he's at every game, even road games, he's always front and center, and very visible. When he sold majority stake in the Mavs he said, don't worry, I'm still in charge of team daily operations, still doing all the stuff I've always done, nothing is changing. So everyone in Dallas was like, cool, everything staying the same, he just sold majority stake. Well, sometime during the season it was quietly announced Nico Harrison was now in charge of daily operations. Nico is the boss, he only answers to the owner but otherwise he's in charge of everything Cuban has been in charge of for the last 20+ years. No exit interview, no interview with anyone that I can find. Not a whisper out of Cuban, he just disappeared. Dropped off the face of the Earth as far as the Mavs are concerned. If you can find any sort of statement he's made let me know. He was just there, business as usual one day, gone the next.

Man I can’t believe I finally listened to someone speak about the Mavs as a team after these offseason moves that actually knows wtf they’re talking about and is actually thinking logically like they understand the game of basketball!!! Omg! People especially these media guys are really overthinking something that is really as easy as 123,and idk if they’re playing dumb because they’re really really in love with other teams or they’re just flat out idiots. It’s simple! Team reaches the finals with a team that was put together midway through the season, team now has more experience, chemistry, and confidence aswell as full training camp with the trade deadline acquisitions. Teams weakness entire playoffs and ultimately their downfall in finals (shooting) gets addresed with 4 good 3pt shooters (Grimes,Naji,Dinwiddie,Edwards),and the top 3 shooter, and catch and shoot player ever in Klay! Not only that but you add waaay more ball handling with Naji,Grimes, and Spence. The defense you lose with DJJ you gain with Naji who also happens to be a better all around offensive player. Thats not even mentioning the development of DLive,Hardy, and PJ!! I just don’t understand how this isn’t viewed as a bigger deal and it’s more questions than answers from so called “experts”. Are you a Mavs fan or something, because we seem like the only people who knows what this potentially means for the upcoming season😂

@@ErnieBert-eg8kd What defensive weaknesses? You just exposed yourself as another casual congrats!😂 Mavs after acquiring PJ & Gaff had the best defense in the NBA and that was with DJJ barely playing 20 mins per game! Mavs held Boston to their lowest ppg and offensive rating in the entire playoffs! The defense was more than fine. The Mavs aren’t NBA champions right now because they couldn’t score! They failed to crack 100 points in all of their losses to the Celtics in the finals. Including shooting 20% on wide open three’s! Defensively while they lost DJJ they gained two pretty good POA defenders in Naji Marshall, and Quintin Grimes! What people also fail to realize is Dinwiddie played great team defense with us which is why experts initially hated the Kyrie trade in that we gave up Spence, and Finney Smith. We needed shooting and more ball handling because besides LuKai no1 else on the Mavs could create or even dribble the ball for that matter, thats been addressed. NEXT??!!

Great content👌🏽 I am going to preface this with I am a huge Paul George fan. I love his game, I love his style. I think he’s a great human being. I am also a huge Clipper fan. With this being said, the facts are the facts: PG came up so soft in this playoffs. Averaged 19 points in the playoffs and that is inflated because of one 33 point game. He had the Golden opportunity to prove his worth and the critics this playoffs when it counts, which I, and Clipper nation really wanted to see. I even texted him on his podcast, encouraging him to keep the motivation and carry the team on his back. But he did not. In fact, he has not played well in the playoffs for the Clippers because of injury or other reasons since he’s become a Clipper, only 2021 being the outlier as he did play really well for the Clippers reaching the conference finals. Other than that, he has not done anything for the Clippers when it counted. And I believe the Clipper organization was watching this playoff to see if he was worth it. What he did do, was Podcast the whole time which really upset the whole Clipper fan base, me being one of them. Now I know he’s able to do whatever he wants to do because it’s own life, however, as a basketball fan and seeing how the Clipper organization gave up their entire future and a future league MVP to acquire him, seemed like he was more interested in his image than focusing on winning during the most important playoffs for the Clippers in its history. What I also realized is that Paul George does not like the Presure and that’s the difference between a really good player like Paul George, and an Outstanding/transcendent player like , LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Steph Curry Kobe Bryant, MJ etc who want the pressure and excel in the pressure. PG does not. The organization made it clear that they offered Paul the same as Kawhi but the reason why they didn’t offer them the max and the no trade cause is because they wanted the team to get better around him. And this is so true. They were not good enough to win as currently constructed so if they gave him the max, they couldn’t get any better and the organization has to get better And would be over the second apron, which is detrimental to their future pics and flexibility to construct a better team. That’s very reasonable Considering Paul has not proven his worth in the playoffs when it truly counts in the last 3 playoffs and is getting older/Injury prone. If Paul played to his highest capability in the playoffs and excelled in the playoffs, like some players do as oppose to play worse, he wouldn’t have to worry about getting traded. But the problem is he does not, and he has to worry about getting traded because he typically annd unfortunately underperforms in the playoffs. Having made over $300 million in his career just in contract salary alone, not including endorsements, I felt like he could have taken the decent offer from the Clippers, definitely not the best but $50 Mil a year and allow the clippers to get better around him because they gave up so much to get him and he really didn’t do much for them at all other than a 2021 conference finals berth. Instead, he chose to take the money saying he’s gotta do what’s best for his family. I love hearing that from athletes that make hundreds of millions of dollars like another 30 or $50 million is going to make a difference. They are already extremely rich and having incredible generational wealth that will last generations regardless. In short, as a Paul George fan I felt like he did the clippers wrong. He could have sacrificed a little bit, just like Jalen Brunson just did in NY, to allow the organization and the team to get better around him and help grow the brand instead of Chasing the money and leaving a difficult situation which he could help fix with Kawai, James and Russ and the “213 Era” what was started when we gave up everything for him. Keep up the great work:)

@@aaronnapier1655 thank you so much! i understand where your coming from as a Clippers fan though. but you cant compare Brunson who has gotten a max deal from the Knicks already when he wasnt at the point where he necessarily "deserved it" and his biological dad is their assistant head coach while they have catered their team to him so much with getting all his college teammates to where he had the ultimate confidence that he will retire there while PG13 who wanted something a little bit similar with a NTC wasnt given that.

The mavs series and his performance in it is overblown. Ignoring a lot of the actual basketball side of it, You don’t judge a player on 6 games in any way. Using a single playoff series is not a good way to evaluate how good a player is and how valuable they are to a team. Pg was brought in as a 2nd option and as he ages was naturally going to get worse. He’s not equipped to be a number 1 option on a contending team in the playoffs anymore and that’s fine lol he’s 34 he’s not 29 anymore, especially not against imo the 2nd best defense the playoffs had. He’s still an all star level player just not in the upper tier anymore more which is perfectly fine. Y’all’s expectations were too high for him and I think that’s where a lot of the hate and disappointment comes from. Watching what he did in the 2021 playoffs as the number 1 option and that being the last time we saw him in playoffs before 2024 definitely clouded our judgement. And I would know because as a fan I also thought he could tap into that again. But I’ve now come to terms with who he is as a player. And also you can’t just brush off 2021, he was the catalyst to leading your team to their most successful season in their 50+ years. That is a huge accomplishment.

@@MLDBalls bro you spoke facts on everything I have been saying. Like we been on the same page, even the Brandon Ingram acquisition, I think if he isn't traded to Charlotte he will go there in FA. Also I have Mark Williams as the #2 center under 24 behind Wembyama and I they will have a career rivalry someday.

lol bruh NBA teams can't trade consecutive years picks in a deal. It would have to be 2025 first and 2027 first or 2026 and 2028... not 26 and 27

They make the playoffs... they lose their draftpick to the Spurs... IN A STACKED DRAFT. This not the year bruh. If we not a top 6 team at the deadline... we sellers. Exactly like the Mavs. Maybe we follow there pathway to the finals.

i would still try to make playoffs this team isnt at the point of team building where they need draft picks badly the talent on the roster is pretty good they just be healthy and see what they got. they can go either way which is a good place to be and at the deadline i agree they probably most likely sellers but that Mavericks pathway also had a team with some playoff experience i see what you mean though.

Charlotte has heavy picks for 2027, they can afford to miss out on the next draft.

@NoSauceBoss-sm6zx you might be right... Success can build that winning culture and future Hornets DNA. Playoffs would be amazing... But if it's close to play-in at the deadline, the smart move is to sell. The pick could help the meteorite rise a la Derek Lively. Just how I see it.
