I've levelled my serato to like eleven o'clock and it still is sounding bad... I dont know what happened with the sound card. Im really thinking of formatting my laptop and behinning again, sound quality has been horrible since last week and I dont know what happened.

If you have the Rane Performer DO NOT waste money on these aftermarket slip rings. I used 303 protectant(I'm sure any armor all type will work). Lightly spray a rag and polish both sides of the Rane Performer clear slip rings. You will be amazed at the results.

@phoenix063071 I'm not sure if it'll work on the white rings. They're more of a fabric. I'm thinking the spray will absorb like a sponge. The 303 spray is like a armor all type product. If you polish it on the clear rings it'll give them a super slick coating. You ever get armor all on a wood floor and walk in that spot wearing socks and nearly slip and bust your ass. That's the spin back results you'll get.

With all my bumps I can write a book 📖 lol 😂 Moved to Vegas 3 years ago from Boston and to sell most of my DJ equipment, then lost my job. Had to work jobs I didn’t like. I lost dj equipment on a plane with spirit, lost equipment on eBay scam, lost my hard drive, got dumped, Dealt with suicidal mentality, was tough but I kept pushing. Now I’m working with Beyoncés producer and also teaching kids DJing! Doing more gigs now. Don’t give up. We as DJs should be helping each other💪🏽

First, back up your machine…. So you basically will still have the “iTunes” folder. In my case I literally still have a iTunes folder from all of the changes over the years. So you haven’t completely escaped the garden. … I’ve been messing around with DJay because I still use my iPad for music in my car, as my back up and smart playlists are still better. Then again I probably have not updated my Serato app in forever so maybe I’m not experiencing the connection issues to iTunes. There are so many options streaming and getting music now. But without a doubt the most annoying thing about Apple’s service is the Music Match feature. It’s convenient for consumers but horrible for DJs. I wish there was a button to lockout the option with password because all it takes is one asshole to mess up your whole library on a Mac. Maybe on the Window machine you can do a registry edit… with that said… Reminder: Back up your machines!!!

I think we’ve lost the whole idea that controllers are supposed to be a portable option & cost effective. This setup is just as big as a professional festival setup and the cost almost on par. I don’t see the point of this at all especially when all the tools a Dj needs is in the one unit. How many more buttons do DJs need to play music. lol I can’t imagine going into a bar/club and telling them to move a pioneer club mixer for this set up lol

That being said, I can't see the cyberspace DJing aspect being of any use to me. Touch screen DJing is difficult enough with the lack of physical buttons, knobs and sliders. But I think the Augmented Reality aspect has exciting possibilities, including interaction with people on the dance floor wearing the same headgear and interacting in the same VR program. I think the dance scene will be much more visual but not to the point of blinding us from the real world. It's the same way I see Silent Disco, Silent Disco does not necessarily have to be completely silent. That's just silly. You can enjoy music in your headphones alongside music coming from loudspeakers at a low volume. Or even loudspeakers only playing bass and deep bass, while your headphones are playing the mids and highs, or full spectrum. It doesn't have to be all or nothing, black or white...

I just listened & studied his set this morning again after listening to his road pod. And the way how he mixes 3 decks is reminiscent of the 3 turntable vinyl days I would hear on Bay Area radio wondering how to do it. I’ve been trying to figure out a continuous workflow on my rev 5 to incorporate 4 decks but I think I’ve been overthinking way too much and should just use 3 especially on a 2 channel. Thanks for the insight!
