I Tried Algoriddim DJay Pro 5 at My Live Gig!

I started with VDJ in the early 00s, moved to Traktor, Serato and then Rekordbox. I started using Djay Pro last month i must say it has everything i need and more. It opens and closes in less than 4 seconds. Great software

Love that you made this video! Djay Pro is ahead of its time! & just to correct a few things if I may, (since it’s my daily driver DJ software for 3 years now). The stems are definitely the best in the market AND they do have the stem effects! Like echo out etc. It also greatly expanded native compatibility! The controls just may mapped slightly differently but it usually mirrors serato not RB. It also have native stem support for S11! I plugged it in and without even mapping the first thing I did was see If I can change the drop down to make EQ nobs to stems - it worked - as well as the performance pads ! Usually shift + hot cue or slicer or roll will activate it. Even works with standalone like RX3! I love it! Love the UI & everything. It definitely had a compatibility issue but with 5.0+, it significantly got better. Even the opus duo is supported, FLX10 etc. definitely keep using it, would love to see more videos on your experience!

I switched to djay from serato this year and haven’t looked back. BTW you can apply any effect to any stem you have to set it up on the effects panel. For 30 dollars a year it’s a no brainer.

With Djay pro 5 latest update, the Crossfader effects do work in external mode on an S11.

Djay has been my software of choice for about 3years now, though I've been using it since 2017. I definitely think it's most intuitive of all the DJ softwares especially when it comes to analyzing, searching,and gridding. My biggest gripe is how the software interacts with certain gear. I will say its extremely easy to map most controllers on it and make them work exactly how you need them. But welcome lol

I used Djay many years ago and recently went back to it once my main controller was natively supported. Algorithm don't do a great job of telling you where things are mapped too. Stems for my unit was under a shift pad mode key. Found it by accident. Need to be more obvious. I don't expect any dj software to work fully out of the box with any setup I have. I guess people have an expectation that it will. I hope Djay can keep up with the innovations and improvements they have been making. I am hearing a number of Serato users switching over. We shall see if it keeps on pushing ahead.

VDJ is the first for stems. Djaypro is kinda like an AI DJ program. I do like it because it’s has some really nice effects. 2 things I didn’t like about it. 1) it does not allow you to DJ from your music folder stored on your desktop. You will have to make new folder. 2) it does not allow you to bring over your cue points to a different computer. A big difference I saw with this software and VDJ is that they analyze songs differently. VDJ told me a song was in 6A key. Djaypro said it was in 9B

Started with this Day software and the little Vestax mixer from Apple. They had Spotify streaming first and remote app to control without being on the decks. Say you take a restroom break. Since they took both of this fixtures away! But nonetheless as a Rekordbox user, any other software out there is way better with Stems. May just go back to use Djay Pro instead of just a backup.

After watching this I booted up djay on my laptop. The stems sound great! And they only take 5 seconds to load. Are they perm stores on the computer like Serato, or is just a temp fx like echo? I have weird issues within djay where cues aren’t working properly. Program isn’t as “it just works” like Serato for me, but stems I’m Serato take over a min to load per track which makes it useless on the fly. Djay could be it though!

@@allgoodgranola6879just a heads up, it does not transfer cue points from Beatsource. Maybe other streaming services but definitely not beatsource. I’m trying to see if there’s a third party platform that will transfer.

Vdj has the cleanest stems, but most non vdj users won't know that there are 2 versions of stems in vdj and if their laptop isn't capable of pushing it, they will get stuck on stems 1.0. I just smile when I catch ppl off guard at my gigs with what im capable of doing. A pity reviewers don't deliver the whole truth.

No way not for me, it test DJay Pro at my live gig to Im not Impressed its Lacking i tested Sync its Lacking to the cues are not on Point i dont no why every mix sounded like i have a filter on but everything was off i think for Beginners or Lazy Wedding DJs 🤣🤣🤣🤣😉😉😉😉it Works fine i test it the Software with Pioneer REV 5
