For all her success it is still remarkable to me when watching what a gifted ball striker she was, that Lindsay Davenport did not finish her career with more than three grand slam titles.

Every service game of Mary , she wins first two pints, Martina wins next two and more often Martina comes up one shot short.so frustrating.

So friggin irritating to watch Mary, she stalls and waits when serving to irritate and throw her opponent off waiting waiting waiting.

Eek - Martina was not having a good day this day. She had played so brilliantly at the start of 1993 and at Wimbledon right until the semifinal. Think that’s what she meant about having more off days as she got older. No obvious reason for it aside from perhaps not quite being there 100% emotionally, and physically by all accounts here. She looked slower in this match.

Poor Conchita she just can't beat Steffi graf she was too powerful and Monica was not the same after the stabbing completely ruined her career and arantxa Sanchez -vicario do her best to beat Graf but she came out short

Hingis had too much ability to keep her guessing and also to take the net away from her. The only time Hingis looked rushed was against extreme ball speed, and Tauziat didn't have that.

Sabatini had no game to deal with these big hitters, at first she flowed on the backhand but she was constantly resorting to slice which had zero effect especially on a fast court. The weird thing about her she dominated Davenport and Pierce to a degree , a very odd player .
