Excelsa y divina la música de Bach, la orquesta y los intérpretes excelentes. No me canso de escuchar esta música tan hermosa, gracias al maestro Bach, que Dios lo resucite en el gran día y lleve a seguir componiendo esta sublime música por la eternidad.

1:10 I love how Bach immediately knew that voice wasn’t coming from the kid! You can’t fool the master! Fun fact: God help any choir boy who let the air drop down in the hand pumped bellows of the organ while Bach was playing. The punishment would be swift and severe!

This is german, right? I’m trying to find the lyrics ( as motivation to learn the language) and I can’t find them. As in, those that I find don’t seem to be the correct ones based on what I hear. One must only wonder - as textual evidence certainly suggests - what dear Bach would have done had he only had access the the steel frame pianoforte. I'm absolutely certain he would have forbid the harpsichord. The same is certainly true for the female voice: after Kozena -- Nicht! Nach! No returns!

Isn’t he fabulous? I just loved singing any of his music, sacred or secular, and listening is almost as good! There are so many composers who’ve been lost to time, which is sad, but we can be so grateful for those whose music is now ours!

This is such a lovely, lovely performance of this piece, and it lifts my heart to the rafters! I have loved singing choral music since I was a child standing on a pew to see my mother’s hymnal, learning to sing Anglican chant and so much beautiful music in my true home, the Episcopal Church. I’m not able to do it now, but the music of Schütz has always been a favorite, and it’s really amazing to realize how many pieces I see on KZbin that I’ve sung….50 years is a long time, lol!
