Big big mistake what do think the big bass are eating in summer BLUEGILL and CRAPPIE they don't want to expend any more energy to chase small bait fish . They want a big meal and it's less energy that they have to use. Especially during summer.

Dude that is “not stupid “!. You taught someone how to do it right, it’s one thing to teach but another to actually showing you exactly what to do. I went fishing with with a friend and got a hook stuck in my thumb and he wanted to just rip it out!!!! Telling me do I trust him to do it!! I said hell no!, and I sat down and thought about how I would do this. I never seen it done before, but when I thought about it, it sounded right. So I did it exactly the way you just did. Only i didn’t use string, just pushed down and yanked!!😮😮 excellent video!! Very helpful!👍👍👍🙏🏼

Came here to learn how to safely remove a hook and you did exactly that, respect for hooking yourself to demonstrate how to go about doing it. I came across a young kid and his brother yesterday (older one was 8 and the younger was about 5) while fishing my local with a buddy and the eldest kid had managed to accidentally deep hook himself in the forearm with a #1 size treble after snagging on some old line in the river. I didn't know the first thing about how to safely remove it so all I could do was cut the lines and call his dad while I waited with the kid. After yesterday I thought it would be good for me to learn what I can do in that situation to help out more so I appreciate you making such a thorough guide on how to deal with this sort of situation. Cheers.

Even the smartest people are capable of making a dumb mistake. Not that this guy was smart but he owned it, took responsibility and offered to make it right. It was bad situation resolved by reasonable people.

You guys deserve credit for the way y’all handled the situation! More patient & mature, than most would’ve been, in the same scenario. BTW: Did he actually have the nerve to ask, “Why didn’t you yell or something“?!? 😵💫 Oh, boy! Thanks for sharing, & safe travels! 👊🏽

“I never imagined the boat that was driving straight for us for hundreds of yards was gonna hit us”…… Sounds silly to read that don’t it? Definitely not your place to notify the other fella but you did stand there and watch it head straight for you, a little holler could’ve saved everyone some headache.

I think you handled it well. I’ve had several close calls on my home lake and ALL of them were jackasses driving big fancy ski boats. They will shoot right past an anchored fishing boat and only miss by 40’-50’. I’ve had other fishing boats idle up to me just to see if I’m having any luck. When I’m fishing for catfish, I’ll idle up to another fishing boat and give them my bait when I’m heading in. Considering how easy accidents on the water can happen, I’m surprised we don’t hear about more. But anyway, you did good. 👴🏻💪🏻✌🏻

Hoping to get my 2024 198p in a couple of weeks. I’m coming from a 1968 14’ John boat so I’m sure I’ll be happy with it. Be nice just to have something to actually move around the lake lol. I’ve never even been in a big fiberglass much less owned one so I don’t think I’ll know the difference. I am pretty nervous, I’ve seen a lot of negative about this boat, of course no one ever talks about things when they are happy with them. I looked hard into Vexus and some of the other brands and it really comes down to budget for a lot of us getting into aluminum rigs. The same length boat with the Lowrance package and trolling motor was 10-12K more and that just wasn’t in the budget. Hopefully it works out ok.
