This guy's managerial career is mainly lower non-league. Brad might as well appoint the Sittingbourne, Faversham or Sheppey manager next time, which won't be that long coming.
@grahamcook928914 сағат бұрын
This interview is a resignation letter. After this Brad surely has no choice but to remove him. He clearly is going to take us down and out of the Legue. Maybe this is what Brad wants? Why not sack him and put Dacky in charge. The players would love the team meeting in the local nightclub followed by all the rape pillaging of local wannabe tarts out for a story to sell to the tabloids. Headline: I slept with a Gillingham player. The probably was he couldn't score on or off the pitch. 🤣
@grahamcook928914 сағат бұрын
So he can't pick a team to score and f c u k s up the substitution with regard to the defence. I wonder if Brad is watching this and is wondering has he picked the wrong manager - again. Brad needs to sack whoever is advising with regard to managerial appointments.
@grahamcook928914 сағат бұрын
Mate, you are worse than the 3 managers that went before you. At least they didn't rely on the opposition scoring all Gillingham's goals. 🤣 What a joke. I really don't care if Gillingham are relegated and go out of business and Priestfield becomes a discount supermarket surround by unaffordable rabbit hutch housing with postage stamp sized gardens.

Why? That interview could be as evidence for sacking him! Don't mistake honesty for being socially inept and naive. He obviously thinks he can say what he wants as he safe until the end of April and aid to the end of June. He's having a larf! Probably on a pittance, so he portably really doesn't care. It's just his last pay day before he collects his state pension.

I’ve got great hopes for Mr Coleman and owning up to your mistakes just adds to that
@grahamcook928914 сағат бұрын
He's 65. He should really know better at this stage of his career. FFS!
@Macrobish13 сағат бұрын
@ I’m 78 and still make mistakes (not like you clearly) with things where I should know better. The best of ‘em make mistakes and he’s admitted getting the subs wrong (personally I’m not a fan of shutting shop at 1-0 up). Give him a break
@grahamcook928913 сағат бұрын
@@Macrobish Why? He's 62 and should know better. If you are going to hang on for a 1-0 win, courtesy of own goal, then you should use all your subs to refresh the time and go defensive with those subs. And it is now standard to play up to 10 minutes stoppage time. It clear these days that Gillingham's players are incapable of scoring goals. It's a joke that a manager of his age and lower league experience should make such basic mistake with tactical substitutions. Bring Jonny on if chasing a result, but not if hanging on.
@Macrobish12 сағат бұрын
@@grahamcook9289 I agree the subs were a mistake and yes they should have been defensive if anything in the circumstances. John admits the error and possibly lost the game as a result which he’s taking the blame for. I still say give him a break

The Gilliam players have that look of a team that know they are playing mid-table. nothing games - can't go up and can't be relegated. And it's still only January. How many more points needed for safety? 10?
@grahamcook928921 сағат бұрын
What an own goal. It was just a rubbish speculative punt into the box, with no particular Gillingham player in mind and out of nowhere the Grimsby slices his attempted clearance into his own goal, leaving his own GK no chance. This can't go on. Gillingham just can't rely on the opposition scoring all their goals for them like this. What a joke. When was the last time a Gillingham player actually scored a goal for Gillingham?

Good interview from John Coleman. He has his hands full, getting half of this team working for him. Its nothing new. The 3 before him tore their hair out trying to get these wasters working. John will do it. If not the players can pack their bags and pee off

I'm all for referees letting play go on at times. But Referee's letting tackles like that go unpunished on jimmy jay morgan, is dangerous and irresponsible. If he had at least spoken to the player with a warning. It would of sent a clear message. No wonder we have so many injuries. A decent point in the end. UTG

No team is favorite after 10 matches. The only people who win are the bookies because they can change the odds at a drop of a hat. Don't fall for the hype and don't be stupid. Go to school and learn some common sense.

@grahamcook92894 күн бұрын
Looks like the Gills had a very lucky and only avoided a well deserved defeat with the aid of the OG. It's undoubtedly a relegation dogfight now. I don't see Gillingham getting the necessary further 15 points to avoid dropping out of the league. Let's face it, they could score in a brohtel.

Both Coleman and Bonner are dead honest , we do seem to have replaced 'Analytical PE Teacher' with 'dour northerner' but we shouldn't be judging managers on press conferences, we should be judging them on results. So far JC has had a narrow defeat to strong promotion candidate, but its not easy to turn things round in one match. Give it time!
